Rented equipment for one day and charged for 5 day , equipment was not delivered on time so I lost work for it , was suspose to deliver 6/624 to 6/10/24 and was brought 6/17/24 and only needed it for one day and was billed for five and refused to refund the balanceBusiness response

****** *** originally contacted us on 5/21/24 at 4:30PM requesting to reserve a *** ******* **** **** excavator so he could do a job around his house. The requested time frame was a 5 day rental. ****** was informed of the price and rental agreement and decided to proceed with reserving a machine for his desired dates. We process payment at the time of the reservation to secure you date with that machine. By securing those dates with the machine this makes it so no other customer can rent the machine for those dates. 24 hours prior to the reservation ****** *** requested to change his dates to the following week. This proceeded to happen 2 more weeks in a row causing us to lose all potential business on that machine because he had the dates reserved had been changed 3 weeks in total. Normally we would not be able to do this that close to the reservation date as we have already turned down many customers that would have liked to rent this machine. In good faith to maintain a relationship with ****** we approved the date change for a third time to 6/17/24 - 6-21-24. We even delivered the machine early to the desired address on 6-16-24 around 7:10 PM so his accusation of us delivering the machine late is simply not true. If you look at the signed rental agreement is clearly states he signed 6/16/24 the evening prior to the reservation date. Attached is a photo of the machine next to his mailbox just to provide evidence that the machine was delivered to the desired address as well. ****** has disputed the credit card saying that the machine was never received AT ALL. We do try our best to document transaction for both our company and our customers. Thank you again and if I could be of further assistance please do not hesitate to reach out.
