I had been using Topaz as my long distance carrier for many years. Service was good. Then I got a cell phone and WHATSAPP . I no longer needed the long distance access line. Since around January 2020 I have been calling the owner ********************* ************, and some texts as well, to ask him to discontinue the service. There is no contract. It was monthly charges to my credit card. I could discontinue at any time. He ignored my calls and texts. Once or twice I reached him, and he said he would stop charging. He finally reduced the charges from $39,99 to $29.99 per month. In May of 2021 I contacted my credit card company. They said they could do nothing, that I had to deal with the vendor. Again ********************* ignored my calls and texts. I went to the address listed for the company. No such tenant. I was able to reach him twice and he said he would stop charging. He still bills me monthly. Finally I found out that I can dispute the charges with the credit card company. But they could only backdate two months. They also sent a letter to the vendor. I have been paying hundreds of dollars over the past 2 1/2 years for services that I haven't been using. Per credit card company. Charges of $39.98 from January 2020 to May 2, 2021, except for Sept. and OCt. 2021. Total $559.72. From June 15 2021 to present credit card **** he reduced the price to $29.99, Total $449.85 GRAND TOTAL $1009.57. I don't have a record of the calls I made, since they were from my landline. Any texts I sent from my phone were deleted.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
At this time, I have not been contacted by Topaz Communications regarding complaint ID ********. My credit card company never had a response from Topaz communication either. I will wait until the next billing cycle to see if Topaz COmmunications has finally stopped billing me.
