If I could give 0 stars, I would! My driveway wasnt properly graded during construction, and now each rainfall causes Lake Affatato at the end near the street. The asphalt is cracked and crumbling with weeds growing through it. The only positive is the Belgian Block, which has stood up well.

Hello - we just reviewed our records, and if this is the right person, the driveway was installed over 23 years ago. I do not have information about a grading issue ever being reported - but most driveways do have cracking and need repairs after 23 years as asphalt is a wearing surface and will need to be replaced over time. Weeds can grow through asphalt, even without cracks. We recommend spraying round ** in these areas where weeds are coming through to prevent further damage.

I had Affatato Paving do my driveway (asphalt), walkways (pavers) & retaining walls (block) roughly 2 years ago and they look like they did the work yesterday. Everything came out perfect and after 2 years of use, it looks as good as it did the day they first completed the work.I just had their seal coat division come over to seal the driveway over the weekend (to preserve it) and meet some of the same employees who worked on the previous projects two years ago, very skilled & knowledgeable gentlemen, it was good to see them and they remembered working here previously. They did a beautiful job (as expected) with the seal coat. They went the extra mile by using a torch to reheat the sealer between the ***************** joint to provide a tight seal as it was originally (joints shift over time) and repairing a slight rough spot caused by a car dry steering (turning the steering wheel and not rolling) on a hot day with the same torch. I didn't even have to say a word about it, they immediately scanned the driveway upon arrival and proceeded with the repair on their own. These are not repairs easily done by home owners.All my interactions with the company has been nothing but positive. All workers I met (and I met a lot of them through all the projects) were very professional, personable and informative people, very pleasant to interact with.They are very busy company with a long lead time to schedule jobs (a lot depends on weather), but don't let that turn you off. Plan for it and have patience, and be realistic about what you want to have done and listen to their advice, they know their business and will not steer you wrong.The outcome will be worth the wait. It takes a while to get them there, but once they are there, it's amazing how fast things go.I have no relationship with Affatato other than being a very happy, satisfied repeat customer some two years (plus) later who plans on using them again as needed.

The weather does play a major role as you mentioned in scheduling, but we try to be fair and complete each job as the job comes in. Affatato did my driveway 20 something g years ago cracked in first month. They came back to look said and I quote this is perfectly normal I will never forget. I believe I dealt with a **** and or a ***, dont know if theyre still there. Had material bubbling up holes in the walkway, they could care less. Call someone anyone else unless vast improvements were made this company is a joke. Had my driveway redone by another company no problems. RUN!

Thank you for sharing your experience from over 20 years ago. We apologize if you feel we did not provide you with a positive experience at the time. We have made many changes throughout our company over the past 20 years. We do stand behind all of our work and any driveway that cracks within the first month would be removed and replaced. I cannot personally speak on behalf of what happened at your home, but asphalt that cracks within one month is usually due to a poor mixture/quality of asphalt received from the plant. Whenever this issue arises, it is always swiftly handled. We're glad to hear you had success with another company, but after almost 43 years in business, we feel we are a reputable and responsible contractor that a homeowner should be confident in hiring for all their asphalt and masonry needs.
