This was my first time flying with Turkish airlines and MY LAST! I booked a flight to ***** from ******* ORD. They took forever boarding, we literally went past the boarding time and the hold was for no reason. I had a connecting flight at IST ********. I get off the plane to try to make my connecting flight when I got to the passport/boarding pass scan they were saying that my ticket was invalid. So I went to the helpdesk and they told me that my flight had been changed leaving **************** to ***** at 9:30 PM. When my original flight was scheduled to land in ***** at 9:15 AM. They then put me on a completely different airline which is Egypt Air. Meanwhile Im not even sure where my luggage is although they told me that my luggage was here at the airport and that it would be on the new flight but Im still not sure. So Im currently waiting in the airport until my flight, which leaves at 2:30 PM and it is now almost 9 AM. I will never fly with this airline ever again.Review from Latifa B

Hello,This is in reference to a delay of baggage incident and the unprofessional customer service I received when I tried to file the claim.I flew from ****** to ****** via ********, departing from ****** on Sep 26th (TK82) and arrived in ****** on Sep 27th (TK1727). However, my luggage did not arrive in ******. It was the start of a 2 week vacation and all my belongings were in the missing luggage. I went to the baggage handler support for Turkish Airlines and was given a claim number. On my return to ****** I tried to submit for expenses incurred as a result of the delayed bag - clothes and basic necessities. However, I was told that without my baggage tag and the boarding pass it would not be possible.This is absurd! How can an airlines that claims to be best in class not be able to track down the fact that I flew to a destination and my baggage was misplaced. I sent customer service the email with the claim number which clearly confirms that my bag did not make it. I have the correspondence with the baggage handler as well. To make matters worse, when I received my baggage, it was damaged and needs to be replaced.I will be filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well but Turkish Airlines already has a 1.15/5 (F) rating on there. Clearly, this airline does not care.Needless to say, I will never fly this airline and will make sure I leave this review wherever I can. Please do not fly Turkish Air!Review from Mahamat S

By reading what people have said already, I don't need to say muc but to advice people who never travel with turkish airlines to NOT TRAVEL WITH TURKISH AIRLINES and believe what people are saying here It is true and you will really be disappointed.Review from Cristina C

Got robbed in plain sight!As much I used to like Turkish Airlines and fly with them for years.... something has been changing in their company and not for the good. Their customer service is indeed very bad, no supervisor/ no manager, very rude agents and not helpful at all. I had an unpleasant experience with them recently, very similar to the customer who wrote the previous comment. I went on their website to transfer the accumulated miles from one account to another, and interestingly enough, their website is quite misleading as my card ended up being charged USD 570 for transferring my own miles. I was so confused about what happened, I called their customer service several times, wasted few hours on that, sent few feedbacks online asking them to refund the money as this is some sort of mistake and they bluntly kept replying to my emails saying they don't refund any money. No way to escalate the issue to a manager, the misleading information or I would say the lack of information is indeed intended to confuse the customers and steal their money. I sent a complaint to DOT, with the proofs how deceitful their process is on the website and let's see if this will make any difference. In the meantime I think this should be escalated to a legal class action, as I'm sure there are many people who fell in the same trap.Too unfortunate that an airline, names as one of the best in the world, practices shady things like this.Review from Catalin V

Be aware of misleading app and oficial site when you do any transactions transferring miles the charge it is astronomical and everything it is misleading and no proof of reset whatsoever.Customer service is bad only automated answers and slow.I got charged $210 for transferring $100 worth in miles without my knowledge.Review from Mark K

I had a deeply frustrating experience with Turkish Airlines that I feel compelled to share. Unfortunately, Turkish Airlines seems to be scamming passengers who miss their flights by charging exorbitant fees. Their customer service is abysmalrude, unhelpful, and deceptive. Its clear that their primary goal is not to serve their customers but to exploit them for profit.I am not alone in this experience; multiple friends and family members have encountered similar issues with Turkish Airlines. From unresponsive customer support to unjustified charges, their practices are both unethical and infuriating.I strongly advise against flying with Turkish Airlines. Their behavior is a disservice to travelers, and there are plenty of other airlines that offer better customer service and fairer practices.Review from Paula G

DO NOT FLY. I purchased a round-trip business class ticket on ********************************* four months before travel. Turkish Airlines is part of the ************* (United), so I was comfortable flying on a carrier I had not yet traveled. Two weeks before travel, I received an email stating that my seat on my third leg had been canceled. There were no options online, so I called customer service. The agent demanded that I pay an additional $2,000. He could not tell me why my seat had been canceled, so I asked to speak with a supervisor. He then canceled all my flights and issued a partial refund. I filed two formal complaints with Turkish Airlines as they do not let you speak with anyone with authority. The email responses were shocking, essentially blaming me. My flights are still available on their website for $2800 more than I paid. There are multiple business-class seats. Turkish airlines broke our luggage at ******************** on January 5, 2024. We are going into the 8th month(August) and the luggage still hasn't arrived. I have made hours of phone calls to TA ***************** Days after day, week after week, and month after month and still haven't received the service they advertise. They deserve a BIG "F" for customer service and follow-up. STAR ALLIANCE NEEDS TO DROP THEM FOR THEIR AWFUL SERVICE!!Think twice before you fly with them... Hi we booked tickets through Turkish Airline to visit **** with 5 family members costing 1700$ per ticket in april 2024. Our flight is in August 2024. Tickets now have dropped to close to 1000$ and even lower in other carriers. I called the turkish airline to get some adjustment credit as tickets have dropped down significantly- she told me I have no right to do so and will loose all our tickets in case we try to cancel and re book. This is a airline scam as to lower the fare price to sell all tickets while sold much expensive earlier. I will put it on better business bureau for people know and avoid this airline and understand how it plays with clients.i am even a smile membe But its of no benefit in generalReview from Amirhassan F

I had a very unpleasant experience on Turkish Airlines Flight TK17 from ********, ****** (IST) to *******, ****** (YYZ) on July 4th.We were given two meal options: beef and pasta. Since my mom is allergic to cream, we opted for beef. To our shock, the flight attendant later told us they ran out of beef, leaving us only with the cream-based pasta! When we explained the allergy, the response was, write an email to complain. Even worse, another attendant laughed and mocked my mom's allergy, asking, How can you be allergic to pasta? Seriously? Adding to the frustration, we asked for an extra bottle of water halfway through the flight. The attendant rudely replied, Didnt you already have one? We can only give out one bottle of water. Given that we paid over $5,000 for three tickets, we expected better service and basic amenities, like enough food and water for everyone.The entire experience left us deeply unsatisfied and surprised. Ive flown with Turkish Airlines multiple times and never experienced such poor service. We felt disrespected and neglected, and we want to know why such issues were allowed to happen.
