After purchasing an ** refrigerator from Orville's there has been nothing but headaches! The ice dispenser we were told the ice dispenser WOULD make enough ice daily as that is why we were purchasing a new refrigerator. For sure! No problem with that! Two weeks AFTER our purchase the ice machine clogs up and the repair man comes to fix it. (extended warranty purchased). You have to hit the ice maker on the side to keep it from jamming up! OK, so that tried, yeah that's what I needed to do after paying close to $2K for it! We aren't done yet, the SECOND time the ice maker jammed up we called service again and the door/flap on the ice maker was not aligned tightly enough. I spoke with Mike at Orville's about returning it for a new model after two weeks! BEWARE - customer service will NOT get you what you want telling you the re-stocking fee is 50% and that they will not even accept the item back if we bought an upgraded refrigerator! **After the two repairs and several calls (unanswered by Orville's) I got this. I am a 72 year old woman and had the POLICE called on ME for trying SEVERAL times trying to reach Mike at Orville's for the specifics on their return policy. So I could warn other customers! Yes indeed, I'm trying to save others the headache of being sold something under a lie! I was told by the officer that called ME, that after repeated calls to Orville's HE would relay a message to Mike. I ask you this. Why did Orville's call the POLICE on a 72 year old woman trying to get this information? THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER service!! Forget buying appliances there. Lies, rotten customer service, and an appliance that will NOT do what you inquired about SPECIFICALLY. You will be sold something nicely, go about your day and wait for the delivery. After that you are ON YOUR OWN! BUYERS Beware!! Call the Police on a 72 year old woman for calling SEVERAL times, and the phone NEVER was answered!!! **Please go elsewhere!Review from Joe C

The customer service from the store manager was terrible. The store sales team was not very knowledgeable. The store manager was very disinterested on our issues and would not consider our issue. We have purchased several appliances from Orville's and will never step foot there again. I also made sure all my family knows of the poor customer serviceReview from Gina P

Orville's really deserves 0 stars. Purchased a lot of appliances over the years from Orville's but will NEVER again .Two months ago I purchased a ** dryer and after exactly 2 months it stopped working. I reported the issue to the Amherst store(on N. Bailey) and was told to call **. ** wanted to schedule multiple service calls for the many issues and then order parts and multiple trips to repair --all for a 2 month YOUNG dryer. I begged Orville's to exchange the dryer for something else and I of course would pay the difference. Why should a dryer of 2 months even need any repairs??? I also mentioned all the negative reviews of Orville's online and Carol in "Service" told me "I don't want to hear about reviews." I was also told by the store manager many of their appliances break after 3 days and I was lucky to get 2 months. After a week of back and forth with the store manager and Carol, Orville's finally agreed to pick up the dryer, refund my credit card, and told me to shop somewhere else for another dryer. I will never again shop at Orville's and want to warn anyone thinking of shopping here to consider another store. There is absolutely no customer service. Orville's is happy to take your money but does not stand behind its products. They should be ashamed to take people's hard earned money on appliances they know will break so quickly. Buyer beware for sure with Orville'sReview from Gina C

They're awful. I bought a fridge, stove and dishwasher. They left a big mess of packaging, first of all. The ** dishwasher was broken on arrival and they won't fix or replace it even though it's brand new. Do not buy anything from Orvilles, they treat you worse than a big box store.Review from James H

I purchased a ********** stove from Orville’s appliance store in Orchard Park, NY. I also purchased a 5 yr service warranty thru Orville’s service contract company *** ****. My stove has broken down 4 times with the same error message and now falls under NY appliance lemon law . I have talk repeatedly to Orville’s and *** **** about honoring their Service warranty. They will neither repair or replace my ********** Stove under contract due to it costing them to much Money to fix! Instead they voided my service contract which expires in 5/18/2025 and offered me $245 to buy out my contract for a stove that cost $847. No one will satisfy my contractual agreement ! I will not accept this a settlement of 28% of the original value and support a store ( Orville’s ) and their service provider ever again. Per *** *****’ web page , it states they will repair or replace your appliance, unless it’s effecting their monetary profit. No customer Service ! Stay away !Review from Maria C

I purchased a Samsung Washing Machine in April 2023 from Orville's in Williamsville, NY. The washer ( cost approx 490.00) but with hoses, delivery, extended warranty etc, came to approximately 850.00. The washer broke down in early April of 2024, and when the service man came to fix it about ten days later, he deemed it unfixable. He indicated it was through new fault of my own because the computer in the washer broke down. He said I had waited a long time and he would do what he could to get my problem resolved About a week later I was notified by through New Leaf, the warrantor, that I would be receiving a new washer. About ten days passed and I called to find out the status of the replacement. I spoke to several people with an explanation of my problem each of whom passed me. Eventually I spoke to Mr. S****, and after what felt like a huge run around as he struggled to find the information, I was told to go to Orville's to pay for a new warranty ( S150.00) . When I I went to Orville's, I was told I had to pay for warranty, hoses and delivery which came to about 250.00. I asked to take a look at the replacement and the machine is obviously smaller than the one I purchased in 2024. I am filing this complaint because I feel that the additional costs are unfair. I feel that everything that came with the additional purchase should be covered especially with the fact that the machine was less than 1 year old when it became inoperable.Review from Lowell S

I purchased a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and hood range. I have had problems with all of them. They have been out to repair them several times. The last time they replace a circuit board in my hood range. No more then a hour later we had problems with it. They sent the repair guy back the same day with no luck fixing the problems. I call them several times. They said they would have a supervisor call me . Waited several more day nothing. Finally I called again and reached a supervisor. He tells me there is nothing he can do call the manufacturer. Items are still under warranty.Review from Vic S

Had issues with their delivery team. They would not wait 10 minutes for another contractor to move his trailor - so they left and rescheduled my delivery. I was getting a fridge and had removed all the food, etc. Very disappointed in Orvilles and will NEVER buy anything from them again!Review from William S.

I purchased a washer and dryer in August 2023. I had problems with the washer from nearly the beginning. I was told I needed to contact the manufacturer for issues in the first year. Afyer 4 visits and numerous new parts the washer now doesn’t work at all. When I called the store I was told there was nothing they can do and that is “just the state of our world today with appliances” i was told they won’t do anything until the appliance is 366 days and is and the extended warranty kicks in. I explained how that made no sense and if my appliance fails in the first year and the manufacturer won’t fix the problem we’re just out of luck? He responded with “unfortunately yes”. When did local businesses stop caring about customers and providing customer service? It’s no surprise everyone is moving towards big box stores. I’m sure if this was from ******* **** ***** or **** *** they would have replaced it for me and fought this battle for their customer. It’s unfortunate but my future appliance purchases won’t be from Orville’s.Review from Andrew H.

Had scratches on all four appliances. They even put a screw thru my counter top. Had dents inside refrigerator that you could see from the pictures they took upon delivery. Had to pay a restocking fee because it was past 24 hours. Cut marks on microwave. ******* guy came over. Noticed oil on appliance. Told us that ******* does not oil appliances at factory and that it was more than likely done at Orville’s to hide in imperfections. They did compensate for the dents and scratches on appliances and to my counter top. About 200 bucks for over 2 grand with of appliances. Do not buy from here. Customer service is BAD
