I called Latham Peridontics to make a visit to see them I specifically asked how much a consultation would cost me. The person was a lady who said it would cost me $100
After the visit they said it would cost me $200 I told them I got a verbal consent of 100 by the lady I spoke to - they said she may of mispoke something about insurance she never mentioned it.

I understand that Mr.******** claimed that he was misinformed and therefore believes he does not owe us any money. In response, I would like you to know that we presented the financial policy contract before seeing Mr. ********. The contract indicates that Mr. ******** is responsible for the remaining balance that his insurance does not pay. Unfortunately, his insurance did not pay the remaining balance for the consultation. Therefore, Mr. ******** does owe the remaining balance from the consultation fee as the contract indicates.
My policy is to tell everyone who calls our office that we are not in network with any insurance company. With being out of network we do not know how much each insurance company will pay. Please note that each plan of specific insurance companies does pay different amounts.Initial Complaint

On May 16 I was seen at Latham periodontist for consultation. At the time of the appointment I had given the incorrect insurance for dental I had given my medical by mistake. I then called the following business day I gave them the correct information they said they would resubmit the bill to my insurance carrier. Since May 16 I have made several attempts to speak with her office manager Nicole. She had told me that the bill had been submitted correctly on May 16 to see SCA even though they did not have that insurance information until the following day. I just spoke with CSEA today July 7, they have no submission of bills on file. I am looking to have my consultation that I paid for out-of-pocket refunded to me because I have dental insurance which confirmed they will cover the periodontist visit however if the bill was not submitted to them. It is now within days of being too late to submit the bill. Are you able to assist with this issue?Business response

Patient came in on 5/16 and gave us **** ***** as insurance. Patients wife later called irrationally yelling at us that we submitted to the wrong insurance. She gave an additional insurance at that time. We have submitted to the new insurance as we received correspondence from the correct insurance on 7/21/22. Patient was refunded the same day.Customer response
