Date of Transaction 12/13/2022 for an online payday loan from 8-10 years ago. I have yet to receive any paperwork or receipts through mail or e-mail. The man stated that the loan company is willing to settle for $264.19 if you pay today. Bank statement with Copeland name. Now I have a company calling me stating that I owe money for the same ($400) payday loan I just settled on December 13, 2022. Copeland stated that this was finished as for payments received. I stated so no one else will be contacting me about this anymore he replied absolutely not as long as payment has cleared. I have attempted to contact the company to no avail just a woman on a recording. The Hartin Assessment Management is now calling me for the same loan. They are telling me the same thing that Copland was telling me at that time about taking me to court. Hartin has gone even further stating that they are going to FREEZE all of my accounts. Hartin did not even give me an account number. Mind you neither company has sent any prior warning e-mails or letters that you can sign stating that you have been given fair warning. I have been told that they could all be scamming me. They are all giving me the same information. Last 4 SS#, amount, threats, but cannot give me the date the payday loan was taken out. They just state we don't have that info. I just want to know if my payday debt has been settled because that was the purpose of giving the payment. Is this company a third party collection or what? If so, I do not owe any more money. There have been others as well but they just hung the phone up when I told them I already paid this loan. So how is one to know who is telling the truth when they all use the same tactics. Please help! I want a receipt from Copeland Klein & Associates stating my payment was for the payday loan in question or just give me my money back. By the way, what about Hartin Assessment Management? These payday companies do pass around these loans from company to company.

12/13/2024 @1:38pm ****** ***** contacted our office and she paid off an outstanding debt with ******* USA  with a *** ******.  Outstanding balance on the account was $516.49 account #*********.  She was offered settlement on this account for $258.00.  Once payment is complete,  proof of payment  is suppose to come directly from the credit card merchant.  Unless we are informed that is not received  by the customer we have no way of knowing. I resent the proof of payment from merchant today for her records. I ALSO sent out a  ***** of the arrangement set up with us, Along with Card Authorization and Settlement Release form required to be signed before a paid letter is to be issued out after 30 days of your payment. That was sent with original account # , name and  current  address and    If not we do not send one out till 90 days in case a chargeback occurs on the account. I never received a returned email stating email failed to go through or anything on Dec 14, 2024 when i sent everything to her .  ***** would have sent us notification if that occurs.  It did state email was sent and read. but not returned.  No calls have been received by the customer. Like i stated  If she was calling the merchant number on her bank statement we will not receive those calls due to  them only being our  payment processing merchant .  Calls to them are not forwarded.  I have sent her paid letter on this debt stating it is closed and has 0 balance. Even though documents were not signed.  If she is getting calls from another company and they cant provide the original account number they do not have legal rights to that account.  Sometimes accounts are double placed by people who place or sell paper.  That is why it is important to explain to customers to keep their proof and not to double pay on accounts they know they already paid.

I received a voicemail from Sam B***** with Copeland Klein & Associates on August 10, 2023 stating he was trying to collect a debt before papers were sent to ******* county courthouse to serve me for a payday loan that was not repaid in 2016. I called him back. Sam could not tell me who the lender was other than ** ******** was the parent company over several online payday loan companies. Sam said that once I paid the amount owed that I would receive documents in 45-90 days showing that it was paid in full. Sam had my social security number, my current address, the address I lived at in 2016. I asked where the money was deposited. He told me the $2100 was deposited to ********* ******* ****** ***** account. I did not have an account with ********* ******* ****** ***** in 2016. Sam also said there was a second person on this loan. The second person listed was my ex-husband, who I had been divorced from for 8 years at the time of the alleged payday loan. Sam said there was an agreement made in 2019 to finish paying the loan that was not completed due to the bank account being closed. I was being sued for fraud. I never took out a payday loan. I attempted to call ** ******** to get information from them but never reached a live person. I called ********* ******* ****** union. The account number that Sam gave me was not a valid account number. Sam told me that I was being sued for $900 and some change but that the attorneys would settle for $595.45 to keep it from going to trial. Sam kept stating he was not a collections agency but that he was assisting the attorneys. I checked my credit information and there isn’t any collections from ** ******** which is odd to me since this is dating back to 2016. After reading the comments on the BBB about this company, I think I’ve been scammed. Is there any way to get my money back? I received an email receipt for the payment that I made. I appreciate any help you can give.

They call stating you have a package that needs a signature to be delivered then say it's court papers. They say they are going to garnish wages if you don't pay. Made a partial payment of 105.45 but did not get any documents except for a receipt. Then a month later they took out 435 without my consent.

BBB spoke to the business and the following was relayed: We provided a receipt to Mr. ******, we are only the payment processing center.  However, he should have received a "docusign" on 2/20/23 from ****** *** ******* with all the documents and paperwork that he references.  It was sent to email *******************, the same email he lists on the complaint.  Please advise him to check his email, including spam folder for those documents.  Thank you.

I received a call on September 6 at 11:54 am from a caller labeled as "Spam Risk" so I let it go to voicemail. The voicemail stated my name and last four of my social, as well as the caller being Allison M****. She stated that she had been retained to deliver certified documents that require my signature. She also said will be arriving at my residence or workplace on Thursday the 8th between 3 and 5 pm. I called the number she left and began speaking with Patricia K*****. She notified me that I was being sued for an unpaid debt from **** that was opened in 2006. She said that she was not a debt collector but worked for the attorneys office. She then stated that she would send me an email with documents attached and insisted that I sign them today. I gave her my email address and she sent it. This did not sit well with me so I did some research and called back to ask if this "debt" was time-barred. She responded that I had signed something that negated the Statute of Limitations. I called back again requesting the debt collectors name. To which she continuously repeated there was none and that her company are not debt collectors and they are making the law suit. I kept asking who was suing me and she began getting frustrated so I moved on to the next question. I asked for the street address and she said it was on the bottom of the email she had sent. This was a PO Box, so I asked her for a physical address. She said that is what they used. She then proceeded to say that she "Does not know who is telling you this information, but it is incorrect." I asked for her professional license number and she asked if I meant her Bar Number. I said "sure". She gave me *******. I then proceeded to ask if she will mail me a validation notice. To that, she retorted that "we are past that", "it's not a big deal", and that I "just need to sign the document and pay or you will have to go to court and have your wages garnished". All the while getting more and more hostile.

Copeland Klein & Associates only run payments for Hirschberg & Holtz. But we will forward the complaint to them and make sure Mr. ***** is not to be contacted by them anymore. Also we will strongly advise them to conduct a current work shop on how to handle and how to work an account.

I recieved a call threatening me for wage garnishments, staring I was being taken to court and legal action was being taken against me. In regards to complaint number ********, our office simply runs payments for the office that contacted the consumer initially. The docusign was sent to the consumer on 4/21/2022 and the consumer signed the documents on 4/21/2022 as well. So I am confused on what documents the consumer is referring to because the agreement with card authorization form was signed. The receipt was sent to consumer but was never sent back with his signature. Our office sincerely apologizes for any confusion this has caused the consumer.

I was contacted by a person stating she was with Hirschberg and Holz law firm. Told me I was going to be charged with theft of a financial institution and theft by check regarding a debt with ******* from 2018. I panicked. Paid the 1000.00. It came out of my account as Copeland and Klein. I then contacted ******* directly. The representative I spoke with was able to confirm that I had no accounts with ******* current or delinquent. She also stated that ******* does not do business with any entities with the name Hirschberg and Holtz or Copeland and Klein. She told me that I had been scammed. She sent a letter stating that I had no accounts with ******* that I took to my bank in hopes of getting my thousand dollars back.

I filed a complaint on August 10,2022 against these same people. I did get my money back from the bank in a dispute of the charges. I handed my bank all the documentation received from ******* that confirmed that I did not have any accounts with ******* and that ******* did not do business with any entities by the names of ********** and ***** or Copeland and Klein. Once again I am receiving hateful phone calls from a "Patricia K " with "********** and *****". This time I simply stated that I was not speaking with them anymore. This person then became angry and began threatening me with "charges" for the "chargeback" on my payment from before. I hung up on her. Please get these people to leave me alone.
