I purchased chocolates worth $130, only to find that they were expired when they were delivered to me. Consuming them led to two days of severe food poisoning, which not only had a significant impact on my health but also severely disrupted my daily life and work. Upon discovering this issue, I immediately contacted the company, hoping for a reasonable explanation. Unfortunately, their response fell far short of my expectations. What's more disappointing is their unilateral and irresponsible approach to handling my complaint, showing little to no regard for consumer rights and feelings. The company offered only a partial refund of $10 for the expired product without my consent and even refused to accept returns for the other unopened chocolates. After the harrowing experience of vomiting and diarrhea for two days, how could I dare to consume the remaining chocolates?!!!This experience has profoundly disappointed me and led me to question the quality of the company's products and their customer service. I believe that any responsible company faced with similar issues should take more proactive measures to ensure the protection of consumer rights, rather than simply evading the problem.Customer response

Ive been ordering from these guys for more than a decade. The last shipment (I paid over $300) was sent without any care of health safety, They did not properly wrap these expensive chocolates and nor did they send these with the customary ice packs. This is a health and safety issue first of all. Secondly, its a very poor packing/delivery issue that compromises the purchase integrity.I have contacted the company multiple times and they are not helpful or supportive. The representative wants a photo of the chocolates even after I told him I cleaned the off from the cocoa dust and he dismisses completely the issue with lack of safety with a shipped food product. The items cannot be safely ingested at this point.Business response
