Loft, part of the Ann **** brands, seems to have a practice of pulling "hot" items from their website when a generous sale occurs. During the mystery sale on 11/5 that I had a 50% off code, an item was suddenly all gone from the website. I contacted customer service via chat and was told the item was out of stock and since there was no waitlist option, it would not be coming back. This morning, when the sale is no longer occurring, I checked the site and wouldn't you know it, the item is back! Available in 10 different sizes in regular length and 8 different sizes in petite length. It doesn't seem plausible that in less than 24 hours that many pairs came back into stock. I contacted customer service via phone and was assured they were really out of stock yesterday. I am very disappointed in these business practices.Ann Taylor Response

We are sorry to hear of any disappointment with a recent LOFT order. When an item sells out, inventory typically is not replenished. However, with newer items, they may be slowly adding inventory. This includes store inventory too, so it is likely that stores updated their inventory for this item as well, which is why it is now showing more available. Was in a store that I traveled 45 minutes to get to as I wanted to return an Im I bought online. Saleswoman threw item back to me and refused to take it back. I got item with an award they sent me plus $5.15 plus tax. I called what was supposed to be corporate office and person reordered top, which was now less than I paid and also charged me same amount, although item sold for a lot less. She did send me return sticker and said I would get refund for additional charge when they received item. I told her I wanted to speak to supervisor and she said Id hear from one shortly. Never did. Called again today and got foreign country who I couldnt understand. Wont ever shop here again.Ann Taylor Response

We are sorry to hear of this customers experience. It is not clear what store she is referencing in order to understand why the store refused the return. The only time a return would be refused is if it wasnt from the same brand, we dont accept cross divisional returns, or the return did not meet our Return Practice criteria (past 30 days, no receipt). In addition, the call center processed a quick exchange honoring the original cost. The customer was not charged twice but the return needs to be received at the distribution center for the return credit to be processed. We hope this clarifies what occurred. We're so sorry for any disappointment. We do currently honor price adjustments on merchandise originally purchased at full price within 7 days of purchase. Upon review; it appears the items the client requested an adjustment on were already purchased at a reduced price; which would not make them eligible for an adjustment. As a courtesy though a request was put in to adjust the 2 items the client mentioned to customer service. Once completed the client should receive her adjustment confirmation email.Review from Klara C

Im writing to express my deep disappointment with the handling of my recent order. I urgently needed a business suit and placed an order on Thursday, paying for overnight shipping to ensure it would arrive on time for an important meeting. When I spoke with customer service on Friday, I was assured that the suit would arrive by the end of the day. However, on Saturday, I was informed that my suit would not arrive until Tuesday. While I appreciate the refund of the $27 overnight shipping fee, this does not address the core issueI needed the suit for a meeting that has now been missed, and I will no longer be in ******* on Tuesday to receive it.This situation has left me without a crucial item for my business meeting, and I am extremely disappointed in the way this has been handled. The inconvenience and the impact on my professional obligations cannot be compensated by the shipping refund alone.I would have expect a more satisfactory resolution to this issue.Ann Taylor Response

We're so sorry to learn of this disappointing experience overall. Upon reviewing this customer's order it appears her order was fulfilled after the *** pickup on the date in question (8/29); which delayed delivery by 1 business day. We make every effort to have our expedited orders delivered within the promised service level, and we apologize we fell short during this recent visit. I bought regular solid color tshirts in May and July 2024. It is August and they have lost all shape, have holes in them and are the cheapest material ever. I was able to start a return for the online purchase and I just went to rerun them to the store. The lady said she wouldnt return them because they were washed and I would have to send back via mail. This is terrible customer service and I would be embarrassed to stand behind this product. I had both receipts and the cards I paid for the shirts on and she couldnt give me a valid reason why she couldnt return them. I am so upset because I was scammed out of my money for these cheap tshirts that cant even be worn.Ann Taylor Response

The loft outlet in ******** is horrible! Every time I go in there I notice the black workers always doing majority of the work, meanwhile the white managers specifically the one with short hair and glasses does nothing! Its an awful sight to bear especially when they are very busy. I would hear the workers talking about how she never helps with anything and always goes shopping on the job, takes multiple breaks, and stays in the back from the time that she clocks in to her clock out time. I interrupted one of their conversations and asked if they told the general manager, and they said that she constantly makes excuses for these people and does nothing about it. That is absolutely outrageous and something needs to be done.Ann Taylor Response

May 27, 2024, I purchased a blouse at the ************************************ in *************, **, for $42.61. When it was time to wash it, I followed directions precisely, gentle cycle, cold. I did not put it in the dryer even though directions said you could. It shrank, and it was then too short, and the sleeves weren't loose and comfortable like they were before washing. I tried to return it to the store. I was told it was not returnable to the store because it had been washed!!! How was I to know a washable blouse wasn't washable? I called customer service and was told to send the blouse back, at my expense *$8.67. It was mailed to ***************************************************************** (address I was given). The same day, I mailed a letter to Corporate Hdqt at ************** explaining the situation, and I included the receipt. Incredibly, I have received no response. I really am shocked at the lack of customer service. I could have had the same situation at a dozen different clothing stores, and there would have been no issue with returning a piece of clothing with obvious fabric quality issues. My payment due date is on the 2nd of each month, want to make payment by phone, it states any payment made after 5;00pm eastern standard time is considered late and they assess a $30 late fee, Im confused when eastern standard time the next day is after midnight , I feel I should have up until 11:59 PM to make a payment before its considered lateAnn Taylor Response

I just wanted to leave a positive review from my experience at the NorthPark Ann Taylor store in ******, **. I am a millennial who has worked from home since the pandemic. My business attire had not been updated in over a decade and before 2 children. I don't think I have tried on clothes in a store in several years, and the thought of picking out my own business clothes was very intimidating. When I walked into the store, I was immediately greeted and the associates asked if I needed assistance. They called over a fabulous stylist, ********, and she helped me find amazing options that fit perfectly. I felt so confident and bought just about everything she put together. The one item they didn't have on site in the color I wanted, they order for me at the register. I even got ********'s number so that I can schedule a styling appointment at the store in the future. feel like everyone there, especially Mastoora, went above and beyond to help. Let me start by saying I love the loft clothing. It is my go to for work. However, the credit card Company and customer service is ABISMAL to the point I just want to cancel it. I have been dealing with a charge dispute for over a month now and to top it off they charged me and EXTRA $178 for a purchase order that should have only been $51. Now my order of one work pant is some how costing me an extra $239! The card company *****, no one speaks more English than what is clearly a script and they just repeat it over and over. They never let you speak with anyone else because somehow everyone is always is a meeting. They will not communicate with the actual Loft company for a resolution to occur and just tell you the client to call so you are doing all the work to try and resolve the issue. I have had this card for about 10 years now and would not recommend it ever again. With so much competition, you would think they would take care of their clients better.Ann Taylor Response
