      American Express made an $180.00 unauthorized withdrawal from my checking acct in November 2023. It took me 4 months and countless hours on the phone until March 2024 for American express to acknowledge the unauthorized withdrawal. Now it is almost November 2024 and I still don't have my $180.00 back yet. Absolute stupidity or theft - who knows

      My husband and I own a business. Every month we pay it off in full and we have excellent credit. I recently had a payment due on a Sunday and due to a vacation and getting a new computer which had to have everything switched over, I was 1 day late. I made the payment on Monday then called to see if I could have the late fee dismissed. They said no. I wanted to be transferred to a manager and the manager said no too. You've got to be kidding me. Good credit... paid off every month and they won't forgive 1 day late.

      I signed up for a Delta American Express Card and paid the high annual card fee with anticipation that I would have good customer service and experience with this credit card. I was one day late in making a monthly payment (I pay my balance in full each month) and they charged me $29 late fee and interest. I called to inquire on the interest charge and was told they had no authority to address and would escalate and to expect to hear feedback within 10 business days. I heard nothing and made my next months statement balance in full and was then charged more interest fees. I called and was told they keep charging interest fees for two billing cycles despite paying my balance in full. I was also told that they could not reconcile the interest charges yet wanted to give me delta miles if I spent $3,000 as a way to keep me as a customer. They then told me they would take away the benefits that I had received and earned if I cancelled the card. I paid $500 in erroneous interest fees for being one day late in making my payment and despite being a long standing card member they only wanted to reconcile by giving me delta miles provided I keep charging on the card. Do not recommend this card and hope someone will look into their business practices.

      Be careful when you sign up for a credit card to carefully document and screen shot each screen. They will claim to get you a certain sign up bonus but if there are ever any issues with that bonus you have no documentation on that sign up bonus because they are smart to never acknowledge what bonus you are awarded up front. I signed up for a card that was supposed to give me ****** bonus points and they only awarded me ******. Later they said there is nothing they can do.

      Rewards program is horrible! Promises $10 montly credit for uber..but i have not received credit. Was told to contact ****. Has anyone ever had success contacting ****. Will cancel card

      I have had a horrible experience getting help from **** unlock my card after paying on time, but after a mistaken transaction from the incorrect account which even though wad has ad current would not be unlocked until I stopped duplicate transactions w ****** I did. I have letters to prove the were cancelled yet my account is still locked two weeks later. Did I say paid up? Disgusting. Im a member 20 years n this is how they treat any customer?

      **************** is awful even at the supervisor level...... needed 3 new cards within a week and had the gold and platinum business cards with over a 60k credit limit and never missed a payment. paying all this in fees to never have a late payment ever... and not even be able to get a card processed the right way or cards dont work or cards get declined randomly and they blame it on a faulty card...... zero compensation.... embarrassing company

      As a business owner, American Express is the worst card to accept. In addition to higher fees, they will s**** you any chance they get. AVOID ACCEPTING AMERICAN EXPRESS!
