      They somehow got my information and **** account and charged me triple and on top of the **** rate I called to cancel and find out how they got my information to even access my **** information and they kept trying to offer me a gift card to stay sounds like scam tactics to me !!! Please remove me from you’re mailing list and remove yourself from my **** account or I will get the cops involved

      I recently received a flyer at my address with someone elses name (whom *** never heard of and who has never lived at my address) to switch to SmartEnergy. I called the number on the flyer (which is NOT the number listed here) and expressed my concern that another person was using my address and that Im concerned about fraud and scamming. I could barely hear the person on the other end as their connection was awful and they certainly were not located at the address listed here and on the flyer (same address), which is in my area. I insisted however that they remove the persons name as well as my address from their records, but they did not reply affirmative and then let the line go. The person did not seem to take my concerns seriously or make any attempt to improve the connection to address the issue.I then called the number listed here and spoke with a ******. He listened to my concerns and confirmed that SE has no account under my address. I confirmed the address with him. He also felt that the person using my address was doing so to try to get a $100 **** gift card out of it. He noted the persons name in case they came up elsewhere trying to do the same thing to other potential customers. He assured me that my address information would be removed and that I would no longer receive promotional or other mailing from SE.

      100% a scam company. Beware. They will also sell your number and mailing address to their affiliates. You call them to remove you from their mailing and calling list. They will say you have to create an account. They will also spoof a number and cold call you constantly after you block their official number from calling you. Don't believe me? Call their customer service and have them remove you from their mailing list? You just lost your mailing address and phone number just by asking them to abide by the law. Scums - all of them. Customer service will brag that they "are hourly" and will not budge to remove your mailing address and phone number - again, breaking the law. Smug people who will sell their souls for lousy wages just to scam and harass people.

      I signed up for a 6-month electricity supply contract - ON THE PROMISE OF A $200 **** CARD UPON COMPLETION.I completed the 6-month contract, then receive a post card saying to give the enclosed pin # and RECEIVE MY **** CARD (******* did that and was told by thE operator that, although I completed the required 6-month contract, the card could not be issued to me - BECAUSE I WAS NOT A CONTINUING CUSTOMER.THAT REQUREMENT WAS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT.I would like my 4200 **** Card - AS PROMISED!

      This company uses mailing lists of children. My under age daughter received one today for the $100 gift card. Id love to know where they got her information from. Absolutely disgusting!

      Its has no cancel fee or hidden charges and they are the best price out there and they send you a gift card if you pay your bill on time for six months couldnt ask for no better

      I received an offer in the mail for a $100 gift card if I switched supply service for my electricity from JCP&L to ************* I am elderly and did not quite understand the ramifications of switching to ************* On June 15th I initially agreed to accept the credit card and switch to ************ to Supply my electricity but I forgot to ask the one question I should have to begin with, and that was whether or not the amount of my bill would change. I am on a fixed monthly budget plan with JCP&L, and I cannot afford my bill to increase. When I called ************ on the 18th, I found out that they did not do a budget plan, and so the supply portion of my electric bill would increase dramatically during these summer months when I am using a larger amounts of electricity due to AC. I requested that they immediately cancel my request to switch to ************, and although the person to whom I was speaking agreed to immediately cancel the change, as it had not yet taken effect, they would not give me any confirmation by email or confirmation number to confirm that this had taken place. So I have no real way of knowing whether or not my request was canceled. This is worrisome to me. Is there any way I can get a confirmation that I will not be switched to ************?

      This company will not stop mailing me misleading offers for a $100 gift card if I switch to using them as my supplier. The irony of wasting paper despite providing green energy is not lost on me. This is so irritating and I hope something is done to stop this before they successfully scam people who don't read the fine print into a more expensive utility bill.
