I canceled a policy with this company in March. They owe me a refund. Instead, they continue to send me a bill. Their argument is if you don't contact them in writing to cancel, they will keep billing you.I wrote and canceled in March 2023. I emailed weeks ago, twice. Then I sent a certified letter, that I know was delivered to their office; they refused to sign for it, pretending they did not get it.I was willing to **** up the lack of a refund, but their harassment has been particularly upsetting, as I had to bury my mother and sell the house to settle the estate and to move. I don't need to be constantly reminded of a traumatizing event.As I informed them, I sold the house, *****************************************************************, in March. Why would I keep a homeowner's policy in force for a house I no longer own?Due to their complete refusal to listen, why would I ever use them again? If I ever had to file a claim, they wouldn't listen. Thank God I never had to file a claim with them.I was willing to let the refund go, but they need to stop harassing me. They should thank their stars they're ahead at my expense, rather than antagonizing me.They are coming off as pathetic. No wonder you can't retain clients with that attitude.Disgraceful behavior. Better Business Bureau:
At this time, I have not been contacted by Kensington Insurance Company regarding complaint ID ********.The company has refused to respond to my multiple attempts at contact. They refused to sign for a certified letter from me canceling the policy, but I have the tracking number and proof they received it.
They have, however, continued a barrage of harassing bills for premiums even though i canceled the policy in march and they themselves sent a letter to the old address terminating the policy on August 12th. Yet the bills keep coming.
I love the line in their bills that unless you cancel the policy in writing they will keep billing you. I contacted them at least five times to cancel the policy, as I SOLD the house.
Anyhow, I have reported them to other agencies.
