I emailed over two weeks ago, moments after I subscribed, to ask to cancel my subscription. I did not realize that they were in the process of transitioning to a new site, and the ordering process was limited at best. I have tried contacting via telephone, text, and email, to no avail. I've never had such a hard time getting in touch with a company and I will likely have to dispute the initial charge with my bank and get a new card. This company *****. I would give less than one star if that were an option.BarkBox Response

It is impossible to cancel your subscription. They have your credit card information and keep charging it even after you cancel. This is a dishonest and very frustrating company. Do not get a bark box subscription! They do not deserve a one star rating.Review from Madeline J

I was not notified before they renewed a 6 month subscription (which was over $170 total). That by itself seems wrong. I then immediately requested to cancel/refund the whole subscription days before I received a notification that the October box was being sent. Despite this, they refuse to refund me for October. Im willing to return the box once I get it but apparently thats not an option. Other people I know have had similar issues. I would not recommend them at all.BarkBox Response

This is not the kind of experience we want for you and we want to do everything we can to make this right. All of our plans are set to automatically renew at the end of every commitment and we apologize that the the renewal was not canceled beforehand so it was renewed. We can see that your account was closed and the remaining boxes were already refunded. To address fully your concern, we processed the remaining refund back to your account which will make October on us. The refund will take 2-3 business days to reflect on your payment method. I never got our first box. I tried to contact them and no reply back by email. Cant get my password to stick on the account and can never log in even after changing it. I log in once and then the password doesnt work again. I tried the chat to only get stupid replies from an obviously AI generated bot. I dont care if your fake AI is playing with their dog. I certainly dont want to hear that when I am trying to get my issue resolved. I went through my credit card company to just dispute and cancel the whole thing. This is not the kind of experience we want for you and we can't apologize enough that our recent interaction with you was not the best experience. We checked the shipment and it shows that the box had tracking updates for a while, but it seems there haven't been any recent updates. Its possible that it may have been lost in transit. To make up for this experience, we processed a full refund of your October box. This would take 2-3 business days to return to your payment method. I have had the subscription for many years. I signed up for the product because it advertised then and still to this day on every platform that they are wheat soy and corn free when in fact they changed ingredients! And they contain all three. I am livid. This isn't specially diets, this is you built a company on the fact that you didn't contain these ingredients and get bought out and who ever run it now is able to put whatever they want in treats and charge you for a product that you are no longer receiving. The company is being totally dishonest and getting away with it. I tryed on every source of contact us to reach out and no one has spoke to me about it. Im shocked to read negative reviews for bark box because my experience has been great. My first box was lost by the delivery service but bark box customer service was phenomenal. I was able to speak to someone immediately and they sent a replacement right away. My dog loves the toys and treats!BarkBox Response

This company is shameful. The company takes money at the start of the month and ships the box two days before the end of the month. Every month I have a message on my app saying "your box is taking longer than expected to pack." I have complained about this, however because of this "packing issue," my boxes have been processed for the incorrect month. I have emailed the company, texted, messaged on ********, chatted with their AI message, and tried the "chat with us" feature. The number is an automated message that does not give you an option to chat with a live representative. I did not receive an entire box that I ordered because of a processing error on their end, and I cannot even get in touch with a representative to rectify this. I am trying to give this company my hard-earned money, and cannot. I'm very frustrated with this company, it is obvious they do not prioritize customer satisfaction based on how complicated it is to chat with a real person. I will not continue my subscription and will give my business to a competitor.BarkBox Response

Makes it impossible to cancel, you sign up for either 3, 6 or 12 month subscription but they auto renew it and its impossible to contact anyone the company. Takes 2 or 3 weeks after payment to even ship out your order. Everyone I know who has used it has had to cancel with card.BarkBox Response

Steals your money. You could cancel your subscription a day, a month, h*** even at the very beginning and they will still charge you for another set afterwards. If I called and I hear "Yes it is cancelled" and you are in charge of making sure of that, it better well **** be cancelled. But no, yall charged me 200 dollars, and that was more than last time I was charged and thrn refuse a refund. Yall love ****** people out of there same 5 boxes (Cant even use some of the treat bags as they make my dog sick so complete f****** waste). Toys are okay but its clear yall lost creativity on it. I got in contact AGAIN but this tike text so I can screenshot everything as they are liars and the refused as it "already went through sorry, but I can put you on a cheaper plan" What?! How come I contact them multiple times just to be told "That *****, thanks for the money" And you can clearly see in other reviews, this isnt the first or last time. I signed up for Bark box and I after one Box, I dont want another box. I have been trying to cancel all day.I get either no response or some irritating messages that say I can cancel after I get 5 more boxes.I want none.I want to cancel immediately.BarkBox Response

The plan was for 6 months with a free Double Deluxe Box promotion that is only available for those committing to 6 or 12 months, and we typically ask that you complete the commitment that was signed up. Rest assured, that your plan has been closed completely at this time and you have been refunded for the September box. You will not be charged again or receive any more boxes.
