I paid $742.81 upfront and have yet to have the services completed that I paid for. They told me it would take a week and a half and it is almost 4 weeks. When I try to find out what is going on they just keep giving me new names and phone numbers and no one is giving me a consistent answer. These are my dads only shoes so he has been housebound for a month. He had to reschedule a doctors appointment 5 times and have already lost close to $1000 that was spent on a vacation.Customer response

I attempted to purchase a pair of orthopedic shoes on 3/9/2021, Order # ************. I distinctly remember telling the sales person that my shoe size was 11 inches length and 5 W for width. At that point, salesman stated that he did not have that particular size. He only had small, medium and large. He further stated that the size Large should fit. I tried the large size shoe and found them to be moderately tight. However, due to pressure from the people at the store, as well as the ********** of ********* Rehabilitation I thought that I would take the Large size and take them to a shoe store and have them stretched, thereby eliminating the tightness. The fact that I went to on orthotist to get a correct measurement of the length discrepancy, and while in the doctor's ******* ********* called the orthotist and told the orthotist that they weren't going to pay for the services for the lift. Because I was under pressure by ********* and the fact that I needed the length discrepancy corrected in order to facilitate my physical therapy, I decided to add a quarter inch unto the previous height in order to compensate for the difference I thought would be appropriate for the shoe. I went back to Enzelow with the new length measurement and they proceeded to make the shoes according to these measurements. I should add that the shoes they showed me was not orthopedic shoes similar to the ones i had before. Since I was being rushed and running to have the shoes in order to relive the pain that occured when I exercise, walking during therapy, I decided to make due with these shoes until I was able to acquire real orthopedic shoes. However, when i finally tried on the left shoe, I discovered that a very severe hammer toe caused severe pain when I attempted to walk with the left shoe at which time I took the shoes back to Eneslow, explained to them that the shoes was not orthopedic there was not enough room in left shoes to accomodate my hammer toe.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I have ensured difficulties and stress while attempting to get reimbursed for the shoes provided to me.At this point in time, I prefer to get my money back of $332.87. I feel that improper measurement and everything done in haste I did not receive the proper fitting of my orthopedic shoe which has kept me from reaching my fullest potential during rehab.I informed Enselow that since my last lift was an inch and 3/4 that they could add another quarter inch to the lift which would make the lift 2 inches in height. I thought at the time that since my last measurement that a quarter inch should be more than adequate to compensate for the shrinkage of the left leg, however I was not able to get legitimate measurement to address discrepancy and my left leg to be accomplished. Therefore I decided to discontinue my relationship with Enslow and acquire ortho services somewhere else.Furthermore, due to improper measurement and fitting, it has impeded my ability to perform properly during therapy. With reimbursement, I can see about other possibilities so I can continue with therapy and show positive signs of me being able to walk again. In addition to the almost constant pain of walking and especially during therapy and exercising with the discrepancy, having the proper ortho shoe may alleviate pain and enable me to continue the proper physical therapy that will enable me to walk again and use the proper functioning of that motor function in my legs and my feet.I am in the process of working towards discharge to the community. Without the proper ortho shoe, this may keep me from living to my fullest potential and being able to thrive in the community. My quality of life has been impeded due to me not being able to walk and function properly during therapy. This is therefore a medical necessity so I can begin to move forward and not backwards. Thus I implore you to please reimburse me the case so that I will be able to reach my true potential, walk without pain, have hope in the future that I may be able to go home and exercise my daily living activities to the best of my ability.Hoping for your utmost consideration.In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
