Ray was engaging and thorough. A job well done. Will use this service the next time the vents require service.

Having asthma, terrible allergies, and expecting a child, we called White Mountain Air to clean our air ducts. They did an immaculate job cleaning our ducts, so much so that our cleaning lady even made a comment "where did all the dust in your house go". They took pre/post pictures to show us the difference they made. Our indoor air quality has significantly increased since they have been here. I am not having as many issues with asthma attacks or allergic reactions. The house had an oil furnace originally so we had them use a soot sealer. No more weird oily smells come out of our vents. The previous owners had pets, you wouldn't believe the amount of crap that was cleaned out of our vents! We also had them clean out our dryer vent. The technicians were on time, personable, and did a wonderful job. The prices were fair. We made the right decision on calling them, we are so happy with the noticeable results and the increased quality of life that this cleaning has brought us. We 100% recommend this company for anyone looking for the same results we received.

White Mountain Air did a terrible job on 7/6/2021 cleaning my ducts. They blew dust and dirt up into my living space and overcharge me for work they did and work they did not do. I immediately complained by sending a lengthy email and pictures. I was told they would reclean and refund my money. Today is 1/13/2022, and still no reclean and no money has been refunded. In fact, they spent the last six months lying to me by saying they would do both! I am not sure why they are still in business and allowed to take advantage of other people. Their employee Ray arrived at my house with a shop vac, a long thin hose with a whirly thing on the end, and a towel. The first thing he did was complain that my vent covers were painted on. I said ok I will go around with a blade and free them. He said no he would do that. Several of them were pulled off the wall paint and all. I am going to have to repaint every room! He cleaned my vents upstairs then presented me with a bill for $990, more than double what I expected! I have a 931 square foot ranch. I count 6 vents and 6 returns. They advertise $7 per vent and return. The work order he presented me was a long list of items, most of which I had no idea what they were. I started questioning what each charge was for and he started getting frustrated and upset. All the while he kept asking me if I had allergies. I said NO. Well, somehow that told him to spray sanitizer in my main in my basement. It smelled terrible and I told him to stop! He became more aggravated and told me he could leave if I wanted and go home and take a nap! At this point, he had my furnace and vents opened up and I thought if he left I would have to hire someone else to fix things so I, said no just finish up. That's when things really got bad. Not sure why, if it was intentional or an accident but dust and dirt started spraying out the vents into the basement and all over my upstairs living space! I have a witness to this. My daughter showed up with my sick granddaughter sent home from school asking me to watch her so she could go back to work. When I went upstairs to greet them, my daughter started screaming that dust was filling up my house! I ran back downstairs to tell Ray and he said "oh I forgot to cover the vents". He ran upstairs and covered one vent in the bedroom with his towel, and then went back downstairs. He seemed to finish up and started to leave and I said what about the AC that you said you would clean because I didn't need my dryer vent cleaned? He went outside sprayed the outside of the unit which took less than a minute and told me to hose it off in an hour. At this point I just wanted him gone so I could take care of my granddaughter. He rewrote the work order to read $648. I paid him (big mistake) and he left. After my granddaughter was picked up I started looking over the work order contract. I googled things listed that he charged me for, like air handler/housing cleaning, A/C coil cleaning, and condenser cleaning, and realized he didn't clean any of those but charged me $99 for each. He also charged for 3 mains. This is a very small house. I am not even sure I have 3 mains. He was there less than 2 hours and other than taking off the front cover to my furnace how could he of cleaned the things he charged for? My basement is now a mess, full of dirt and dust all over many big and small things. And inside of my furnace which was originally very clean if full of dust! I called the company, many times, wrote emails, and sent pictures. Why was I told I would be getting a complete refund if they had no intention of doing so. It went like this; They set up an appointment for recleaning on Aug. 12. They also said they would bring the refund check when they recleaned. I thought that strange but agreed. The day before the appointment they canceled saying they had mechanical issues with their truck. Another appointment was set up for September 9th. This time they canceled saying they had not heard from me. So why didn't they call me? They never did. A third appointment was set up for October 19th. This time I called them to make sure they were coming. When they answered, (the day before my appointment), they said they decided not to come because of covid! Seriously? No call to tell me, again I called them to learn this. At this point, I said fine, just mail my refund check. I am still waiting. I have called them many times since October and I usually get the answering machine. I ask them to return my call but they do not. December 23rd was the last call I made and this time Loren, the secretary answered. She said she would tell the owner again to send a check. It's now January 13th, 2022 and I am still being ignored. I have never talked to the owner. I was never even given the owner's name. And the company will not give me a working address saying they work out of their home. I am filing this to the closest address listed on the BBB site for this company. I live in Webster NY, miles away. How can this company still be in business? ****** ** Webster NY 14580
