On 5/23/2022 I performed a prof search on ********** ******* website for a therapist in our area, ***** **********, Christopher Viagrande, NP. I attempted to call the office, but the phone number listed was not working ***** ********. I reached out to his office early morning on 5/23/2022 via message through their website, seeking a therapist for my elderly relative. I received a call from his secretary within the hour from a phone number that said "No Caller ID" and she stated they could schedule my mother for an appt on 5/24/2022 and would need a credit card payment (over the phone) to hold the appt, with a fee of $299.00. Afterward I hung up, I happened to notice that my credit card was immediately charged for $299.00 when the appt was for the following day and no services had been rendered. Upon closer inspection online, there were many negative reviews which spoke about how this was an ongoing issue with this business taking money inappropriately from clients as well as refunds promised, but never received. I felt uncomfortable reading these many negative reviews and this combined with his business phone number that didn't work, made me decide to reach out immediately to cancel the appointment (just scheduled) and request a refund. I couldn't reach them by telephone (since it didn't work), so I communicated immediately via the messaging feature on the website and I also sent an email. I immediately received a response via phone from his secretary again; she explained she read my message and was calling from her personal cell phone since the business phone wasn't working due to an outage. I requested the appt for 5/24/2022 be canceled and requested a full refund of $299.00. She stated she was sorry for my negative experience and that my refund of $299.00 would be received within 3-5 business days. I received no refund. I followed up on 5/31/2022 via direct message on their website, email message, and a call to his secretary's cell phone with no response.
