On December 3, 2020, I received a letter from Steel Path Funds Remediation, LLC in the amount of $192.44. Upon receiving the check I attempted to cash it. The check was entitled David Lerner Associates **** FBO *************************. I went to the bank and they advised me that I could not cash the check. The branch manager called Steel Path to find out what was my responsibility for the check. The representative of Steel Path said I had to contact David Lerner and associates. I contacted David Lerner and they advised me that I could bring the check to there ************, ** office or mail it. I decided to drive down and drop it off. I entered the building where a gentleman was sitting at the desk near the front door. I explained my situation and my financial advisor ***************************. The individual explained that he was a advisor and he would make sure the check got to ****************. I never received a call from **************** so on February 1st I left a message on his machine. I received a return call that day and he advised me that he would located the check. I did not receive a call so I called **************** a second time he explained to me he tried to go around me and find out if a second check could be reissued and he did not have success. I then asked why didn't you just call me and I could speak to the person at Steel Path. He then said he would call me tomorrow and remain by the phone he would call at 12pm. I did not receive a call.On February 4th I sent an email at 4:24 pm to *******.******@ ***** ********** *equesting his assistance in finding the check. My last sentence in my email stated" Is there anyone else I need to talk to so I can settle this issue"? I received no response or call. I called again. **************** answered and said he had to find the number for the Steel Path. The representative from Steel Path stated I had to write a letter requesting an addional check. **************** stated he would write the letter and send a copy to me. No email or call!

David Lerner Associates(DLA) Investment Counselor (the *** has worked with the client today to address the issue concerning the check in question, and the matter was resolved to the clients satisfaction.

Please note that the issue stems from an error on the part of another company. DLA did not issue the check, and it was not sent or handled by DLA. The ** simply sought to assist a client, as DLA always seeks to support and address its clients investments and related needs.

In an effort to help, the ** contacted the issuer of the check but, because of their policy, could not initially resolve the problem. After that, there was some miscommunication, including an email from the client using an unfamiliar email address that was mistaken for spam.

The ** sought a resolution on behalf of the client, and with the client on the call with the issuer, the check issuer was able to issue a new check to the client today.
