******** was in July 2024. Initially no issues, while driving home from ** to ** after purchasing a 2021 ****** Tacoma the ** went out less than 24 hrs from date of purchase. I contacted my sale representative and was initially ignored. After several text he finally responded and informed me he would have to talk to sales manager. After several back and forth text, in the Course of several days I received a txt from him that the dealer would cover all cost associated with repairs to **. Once I received the truck back from repairs I Informed them that the temp plates would expire and my VA plates had not arrived. That was finally resolved and a check was suppose to be sent with the plates. "Sales manager" said that would be sent out separately via ****. On Sept 20 the sales manager said the check would go out that Monday 9/23. As of today 10/14 no check has been received. I have offered other ways for them to give me my money and they have not agreed to do so, The amount due is $2,482.28 minus $735.28 that they took upon themselves to pay the finance company without my knowledge or consent and I aggreed for them to take from the $2,482.28 and amount due is $1,747.28.Customer response

On 10/29/23 I purchased a vehicle from **********************, one of Yonkers Auto Gallery's dealerships. I went there due to an advertised price on their website and the promise of "no hidden fees". Upon negotiating price I was told that the vehicle comes with a mandatory insurance and that they can not sell the car without the ******************** I repeatedly told them that I do not want, nor need an extra insurance policy. I told them that I would be canceling this immediately. I have contacted the business several times afterward but have not received a solution. I have been told that "I am not allowed to cancel". The Exobundle cost $4305. This goes against the contract I signed stating that the insurance is not required for purchase. I want a refund.Initial Complaint

On August 12th, 2023 my Fianc *********************************, and I were out car shopping and decided to stop by Yonkers Auto Gallery. We decided to purchase a used vehicle from Yonkers Auto Gallery. After putting down an initial $500 and returning to put down $1000 on Monday, August 14th to complete the deal for a used 2018 ***** Accord for a little over $26K. The manager of the dealership expressed that the car would be serviced, cleaned, and inspected. Within 3 days the vehicle's engine light came on. We took the vehicle back to be serviced. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of our issues. We have both requested service reports and have yet to receive them. While driving on the highway the vehicle dropped from 60 mph to 10 mph causing vehicles to swerve around. We were able to get off of the highway and proceed to the nearest repair shop to only find more issues. We have given the dealer multiple times to fix the vehicle. The owner ***** and ****** have not done their complete best to help resolve this matter. After taking the vehicle to the ***** Service Center to have an accurate diagnostic test in **********. The vehicle had over $6k in repairs. The vehicle is unsafe and has too many issues. When we asked the dealer to change the vehicle they said it was not an option. We returned the vehicle on the 29th day after picking the car up from the repair shop which the dealer refused to pay for. He claimed he could cut the cost by 70% by using his mechanic. The dealer was unprofessional and extremely rude once we asked about each service repair document which we have yet to receive. All evidence is via text, email, and video of the incident on the highway. I have requested a full refund and filed a complaint with *********** Auto Financing. The matter is currently under investigation. The contract that was given has several different odometer readings. The dealer also included our trade-in 2015 Audi which is a false statement. The contract has several discrepancies.Business response

Client has picked up the vehicle from our facility and we are awaiting their response to our email that stated a settlement offer of $1,500 USD as a inconvenience. In order for the settlement offer to be mailed out and billed out, they have to sign a general release form and settlement offer satisfaction form.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Unfortunately, I am preparing for a major surgery and my impression was thinking 6 business days was needed for a response. I am not satisfied with the response from the dealership. The vehicle was forced on me to take by Yonkers Auto Gallery or YPD would have impounded the vehicle. I have made arrangements to have the vehicle taken back to *********** Finance. I refuse to keep a vehicle that shakes and is deemed unsafe. The dealership has yet to submit service reports and wants me to sign a document agreeing that they did a wonderful job. The business is a fraud. The warranty submitted is expired according to the incorrect mileage on the contract. My credit will take a major hit and I am responsible for $25, ********************************************************** and my fiance. We were treated unfairly throughout this ordeal. I have attached the last email submitted by ****** and ****** which they tried to persuade me I would need to sign an acknowledgment form in order to receive my deposit.
I would like the down payment returned and the additional money attached for a low jack that was added to my contract and a warranty that is absolutely misrepresented by the dealership. I have obtained legal representation and would like a piece of mind. This has caused me a lot of pain and suffering.
Please advise on what my next steps are.
Respectfully,

My husband, ********* purchased a 2017 ********** Jetta VIN #***************** on 5/10/23. (1) We purchased this car knowing the airbag sensor light was on. A diagnostic was done at the dealership and it not indicate there was a major issue, so our initial agreement was to deduct $300 off the sales price, as this was the estimate for repair. The dealership (****** (aka ******)-Fin Mgr and ************** Mgr) verbally agreed if it was a bigger issue, the dealership would work it out with **. *********************** in *********, ** discovered the car door is not original to the car - therefore the sensor light was on & the window regulator was broken, b/c the repair job was not done correctly. We received a quote of over $1200 to fix these issues. We spoke to ****** on 5/13/23, and after a heated discussion and arguing, she finally agreed to refund us $290 for the sensor light repair. It has been more than 2 weeks, and we have not received this refund check. (we had 2 friends in the car with us during our discussion on speaker phone, who will provide notarized statements confirming ******'s agreement to refund us $290). (2) The dealership said they were legally required to register this car in ** on our behalf for business reasons, even though we originally agreed we would register it ourselves. They will NOT provide an update on the registration status. ***** and I have tried to call ****** at least 10 times last week, and I sent 2 emails requesting this information, and she REFUSES to accept our phone calls or reply to our emails. We are asking the BBB to can act on our behalf and help us resolve these issues, as ******'s actions are completely unprofessional! We would like our refund check for $290 to be sent ASAP, and confirmation that the ** registration has been processed (via copies of paperwork submitted) and ETA of receipt of registration and license plates. Thank you for your help in these matters.Customer response

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Yonkers Auto Gallery regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
My husband has been texting with ***** at Yonkers Auto Gallery who says he's the general manager. I am attaching screen shots of their text communication. He claims the check that is owed to us for $290 was mailed out on 5/31/23, however, it is now 6/24/23 and we have not received the check to date. He claimed a 2nd check was mailed on Tuesday 6/20/23 from Yonkers, NY to ***********. If this check was actually sent, we would have received it by now (6/24/23). At this point, we would like this amount refunded to our credit card, so there can be no more claims that "the check is lost in the mail". We have been more than patient, yet with no resolution. We are disappointed that they ignored the original complaint field with the BBB, we will continue to fight for this money that is owed to us. The city of Yonkers has issued an appearance ticket to Yonkers Auto Gallery to appear and answer the violations of (1) Deceptive Trade Practices ****** and ******************* Vehicle Dealer License ****** of the City Code of **********************. A hearing date has been scheduled for July 21st, 2023 and 10am. We plan to appear with 2 notarized statements from our friends who witnessed ****** at Yonkers Auto Gallery agreeing to refund us $290. In additon, a copy of the check they claimed to have mailed as well as the text communication further indicates their agreement to pay. We are hopeful these complaints and proof of correspondence will help resolve this matter ASAP.
