I had work done on my catalyst converter 2/19/2021 in which this auto repair purchased the parts for me. On 1/26/2022 the parts went bad and they replaced them. Today 1/19/2023 the parts went bad again and they are refusing to replace them although its been not even a year since the replacement

The business agrees with the dates that work was done for the consumer.  The parts have already been replaced once and the warranty provided by the parts store only covers a single replacement.  The business' warranty also only provides for a single replacement.  Additionally, it has been three years since the parts were initially purchased.  The business did try to resolve the matter with the consumer, but her significant other became hostile.  He does not want the business to do anymore work for the consumer.  The business is at a loss on how to further assist the consumer.

I had my exhaust repaired 8/22/22. Driving it a few blocks I heard a loud noise so I returned, I was told the exhaust was hitting the heat shield. The technician adjusted something with a crowbar and mallet. I didn't hear it again till driving it again. I returned to the shop, the worker looked at my car, got a crowbar and mallet and pried on my heat shield tearing it off, he said it was rusted. He said "it is not necessary, it has a lot of heat shields". So after driving for awhile I smelt something burning and still heard the rattling. I returned to the shop at 3:20 PM and the doors were locked. They were still in there but nobody came to the door. I returned on Monday, the owner told me I had to make an appointment for tomorrow, so I did. Returned again, they looked at my car and said the rattling must be in my muffler. It was not there before they did work on my vehicle. The owner told me he was not replacing the heat shield. It is connected to the catilaytic converter. My car could catch fire!!

I am rejecting this response because:

What they said is not truthful. Nor is it complete.

My car was loud, but the connection on my exhaust had rusted apart. I don't compare that sound with a ******. That's what they were supposed to.fix.

As you can read in my complaint,  I have been there more than two times for this and I was told they weren't going to correct the problems they caused.

They beat my exhaust with a crowbar and mallet, and tore off the Heat Shield connected to the Catalytic Converter.

The problem is getting worst. It is not a cheap repair. I'm on a fixed income, I'm retired from the Auto Repair business.

      That response is basically illiterate.

      Thanks

The business informed BBB the it welded on two small pieces of pipe to the consumer's vehicle.  No one from the business beat or caused any damage to the vehicle.  The work that was done is not causing any rattle.  The business considers the matter closed and does not feel the consumer is due any reimbursement at this time.
