Appointment was scheduled for 4/3/23. I had scheduled an appointment for a cosmetic procedure with Libby Yoho. I showed up to my appointment on time. During my consult prior to the start of the procedure, I notified Libby that I had to start an antibiotic on 3/31/23. Libby advised that she could not perform the procedure due to my taking an antibiotic. She cancelled my appointment and charged me $180. Her cancellation clause states that if you do not cancel or reschedule within 2 weeks of your procedure she will charge you 30% of the procedure amount. She was very rude and unprofessional and would not provide options to reschedule and or apply any portion of the $180 to a rescheduled appointment. She then made a skit about our interaction and posted it on Instagram. Ideally, I would like my $180 returned, but if nothing else, I would like to prevent this outcome from happening to someone else. A two week cancellation clause is unprecedented in the industry, and the use of social media to ridicule a client is unacceptable.Business response

I am going to keep my response very short as I’ve already went back-and-forth with her bank when she disputed the charge. Her bank ultimately ruled in my favor because I have a signed contract saying she agreed to the cancellation policy. See attached. I also prescreen all of my clients to make sure that there is no reason that they can’t get it done. She did not properly disclose what medication she was on see attached. She was well aware of the cancellation policy before she booked and proceeded to book anyways. When she came in, she became hostile after she realize that she could no longer get her service done. I try to be as professional and empathetic as possible even while being yelled at. The “skit” that she said that I did on social media, was nothing more and explaining why we have cancellation fees. And no point was her name is mentioned or anything about her. and it wasn’t in regards to her. I was just in regards to my cancellation policy as a business in general.
