I attended the Recording Workshop, that is now operating under the company name of "The RecW", on February 22nd 2021. They advertised on-campus housing for the students that were attending the program. The housing that they advertised is in horrific condition. There are 4 larger buildings being used to house 3-6 students each, and 7 Small "Cabins" being used to house between 1-4 students each. Each of these houses need to be accessed for health code violations. In any of these buildings you will find Mold, Mice, Rats, Foundation problems, holes in ceilings and floors, and rooms that have been boarded off with plywood to hide their status from the students living there. The RecW brings many patrons looking to further their passions via the art of recording, so many choose to ignore the obvious issues with the housing to be able to follow their passion. After my time as a student, I was hired as an intern for The RecW and I was able to see how they were handling the state of the student housing. To my dismay, they send the interns to cover up any obvious dangerous conditions, and attempt no further remedying of the issue. The state of The RecW's housing is completely unacceptable and is a hazard to its students.Business response

To whom it may concern,
We are surprised at the contents of this complaint. Our facilities are inspected bi-annually by local authorities to ensure safety and fire codes are met. The last of these occurred in December of 2021, with no infractions noted. Additionally, all housing is thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized between each of our 7 annual class cycles. We are open Monday through Friday from the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and welcome anyone to tour our facilities without appointment. We are located at 455 Massieville Rd., Chillicothe, OH. 45601.
