On May 25th went to see the venue. A contract was wrote up with the owner Lorenn D****** who sent the paperwork to be signed via email on May 30th. On June 6th I added on the day before for decorating and set up because it was for my wedding. On the day I went the see the venue on May 25th she explained that the venue was missing things that she would include and was also in the contract. On the July 14th I contacted Ms D****** to check on the progress of the improvements. She responded and said that those modifications are not being made. One of main reasons I chose the venue was because it would provide a kitchen that would make it easier for the people cooking and setup. I let her know that it was in the contract. She told me that she might be expanding soon so can’t accommodate the contract. I scheduled a date to see her where she then told me that we could use the building down the street to store food. The day before she said we could use the venue next door to store food. Neither one of those options were presented to the people bringing food in. She also only let us use the back stairs which some disabled people could not make it up. When asked, someone told my guest the main door would remain locked. There was no AC on the entire time. When asked about it I was told to hold on. She and another lady that was in the hall were very rude to my guest the entire time. There were 100 chairs there and I asked her for 5 chairs and she said she doesn’t supply extra chairs. The chairs on the promotion was 125. She stated that was old. She then did not give me my 250 deposit back after saying I was complaining, said we bent a piece of the flooring, left trash, and two chairs were broken. The night when leaving the venue she told us to drag the trashcan over doorway, then helped which caused a piece in the floor to bend, not break. She declined when offered to fix for free. There were military broken and unstable chairs. She watched us clean up with no complaints.
