6.20.2024 I purchased a home. Prior to closing I discovered 6-7 typos (many of them quite significant) in the legal description. After saying they corrected it, on closing day it was still wrong so they reprinted and retyped FOUR times at the closing table!!!! They told me it was because the escrow agent was new. Then 6days after closing I noticed the deed is STILL not recorded even though they said it was. The new manager (1st one quit) told me it was sitting on his desk. Yeah… No apologies …instead of electronically recording it in two minutes it sat on his desk! Well now I finally have the RECORDED deed that the sellers signed. (Here’s the kicker) PRIOR TO RECORDING THE TITLE COMPANY ADDED IN (WITHOUT OUR APPROVAL) A BRAND NEW PARAGRAPH NEVER SEEN PRIOR TO CLOSING OR ON CLOSING DAY WHICH RESERVES ALL MINERAL RIGHTS TO THE SELLERS!!! We never saw this before and never approved it since they never did a mineral search they couldn’t tell us who owned minerals. And the deed excepted anything appearing in title…so why they added this was never explained. This is fraud! It has now been 3 days I have asked for the manager to correct it which now requires sellers to sign a quit claim deed for minerals per the purchase agreement. Their errors have cost me possible land rights and a cloud on my mineral title. I have asked they correct it with a quit claim deed or a corrective warranty deed. They keep telling me it’s irrelevant because they claim owners don’t own the minerals. But they then tell me they don’t know who owns the minerals because they never did a mineral search. So they really don’t know anything about minerals and added an exception to a deed fraudulently behind my back!Business response

August 23, 2023. I sold my property. And I feel as though Ohio Real Title did not give me all of my remaining balance back from the seller's fee they claimed I owed in the amount of $990.95. And after my calculations I should have got back $643.04 cents. According to their settlement statement delinquent taxes plus penalties to Cuyahoga County Treasurer is $4,892.50 cents. My real estate tax statement. I received in the mail said. I owed $4,545.05 cents. late payment delinquent taxes not paid by closing date will be charged a 10% penalty. According to my statement a 10% penalty? would be $347.55 cents. There is a remaining balance of $643.04 cents they kept and only sent me back $33.00Business response

We purchased our home in August of 2021 and also simultaneously sold our old one. Our realtor suggested we use Ohio real title to assist with closing. Although at first we believed them to be doing a great job we have endured nothing but problems since acquiring our new home. Somehow they never turned our paperwork into the county and we therefore are unable to pay any water or sewer bills and continue to be charged the water or sewer bills for our prior home as this one is not in our name. This is going to cause us a financial hardship due to when we receive the bill it will be very high because we have been living here 4 months now. We also just recently discovered our home owners insurance had been cancelled because Ohio real title failed to send in our payment to our home owners insurance company. Our mortgage company informed us they had been trying to reach them the past 4 months to tell them to pay it. We have reached out to Ohio real title and continue to be told these issues will be fixed but yet they don’t answer our phone calls or respond to our emails. We are frustrated to say the least as this is all causing us hardship. We now don’t have home owners insurance and are unable to pay our water and sewer bill. We want to do the right thing but are stuck until they do the work on their part.Business response
