On April 4th, 2022 I bought a 2005 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T that had 108k miles at ZMZM Auto Sales. I was made aware there were no issues with the vehicle and it was in perfect condition. We test drove the vehicle, it seemed okay and there were no lights on dash. 2 hours after buying the vehicle popped up with a check engine light. Ran the codes it said it needed coil packs. Replaced coil packs and spark plugs. On April 8th 2022, the vehicle completely broke down on me. Took to a mechanic shop on April 13, 2022. On April 14, 2022 The mechanic told me that the car read that the check engine light was erased from the dash on April 4th, 2022. The car's transmission is done for, because ZMZM Auto Sales failed to check the transmission fluid. Mechanic said the transmission fluid was burnt to a crisp as well as there a number of other things wrong with the vehicle. ZMZM Auto Sales knew of the issues with the vehicle and failed to not only make me aware, but resolve them. On April 14th, 2022 I contacted ZMZM Auto Sales to come to a resolution and they refused any resolution and or to at least take the vehicle back.Business response

The vehicle was sold %100 AS IS and the customer knows about it . We as a dealer never tell the customers there is no issues with the used vehicles. Customer came on 4/4/22 to look and check the vehicle out , even before test drive the looks very good around the vehicle and the mention that the front passenger tire not in good condition and I told them I will replace it if they decide to purchase the vehicle after test drive . They went for test drive and they liked it , she mentions that the check engine light comes on when the drove over 65MHPH but went off under 65Mph . I explained to them that I didn’t have that experience with that vehicle so I can give them more time to test drive it again on they can take it to auto parts to check it . They decided to purchase the vehicle because it run’s very well . She drive the vehicle from Columbus to Wooster in Ohio which is more than 2 hours. On 4/14/22 she called me and said the the transmission went out and I explained to here that the vehicle was sold AS IS with no warranty but at the same time I would like to help here out by $300 which is about the price of used transmission , she denied that and need s new transmission or full refund . I feel sorry for what happened to here car and tried to help what I can doCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because: ZMZM auto sales knowingly erased codes and the check engine light from the dash and vehicle. I will be sending proof of this knowledge. I was not aware of the engine light nor did it ever pop on. He did replace the tire when I mentioned it. I asked about the fluids in vehicle and was told that everything was changed. The was no transmission fluid in vehicle which I will also send in the Mechanics paperwork that states as so. He did offer $300 for a transmission that has over 200k miles already. That is not logical as the car only has 108k miles and on top if that I'd be paying more than what the car is worth in labor at a shop. Which I will also respond with a invoice of how much it would cost.
