I reached out to the apartment complex manager and asked about their availability. I was told they had one unit that would be available within the upcoming month, she also mentioned no one had applied yet. The same day, I filled out my application and submitted it along with a $15 money order for the application fee. I waited about a week and a half and gave the manager a call just to be sure my application has been received and processed. She proceeded to tell me that I had no credit history and no rental history which is completely untrue. I've lived on my own since the age of 19 and I am currently 27 which I expressed to her. She suggested I call out to the company that runs their credit checks, so I did. They informed me that my information had never been run through their system. I then reached back out to the apartment manager to advise of this. She said she would "run it again" and I told her I'd give her a call back. I received a call about 10 minutes later stating that she was able to obtain my information but that I hadn't submitted any pay stubs with the application, which was not requested at the time of application and I advised I would provide. She then told me that she had no units available, a blatant lie. If there were no units available, why was I told that the week prior? If a unit wasn't available, she could have said that during our first call. I don't quite understand why she would run my credit if she knew there were no units available. I believe I was lied to and the worst part of it all is that there is no way to contact the management company who wons the property and I find it difficult to believe that they are not aware of the many issues their property manager (Fran) has caused as there are plenty of negative reviews about her online. I feel I've been ripped off and lied to. I'd like very much to at least speak with the owner of this property.Business response

Per conversation with Fran, the apartment became unavailable because the tenant that was supposed to move decided not to. There was nothing that could be done about this and she communicated this to the consumer. She will be notified if and when one becomes available.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because this does not what was explained to me during our phone call. This also does not explain why she would run my credit report just before she told me the apartment was no longer available.
