The beginning November 2023 I purchased a graveyard marker(headstone) from buckeye monument.The total cost of everything is $ 3269.88 and it does require a 75% down payment which is $ 2450.00. Paid in full. From the beginning, communication was and issue. Despite having MY contact information at after a in -person meeting at the beginning of this process they never advised when it was initially placed and are unable to return any of my calls. February 2024, I called inquiring about some needed Maintenace to the headstone. The ground had since settled, and the headstone was well above the ground at this point. Understanding this is the process, they advised they would put it on the schedule, no issue. March came and I had not contact so i called and they advised due to the rain season they would have to push it back further. I understood. May came and I in called again since receiving no contact still. I was advised that they were working on maintenance that week and should be getting to it either before or after Memorial day. good deal. I received a call a few days later saying they were at the graveyard but having a hard time locating the headstone. after some direction over the phone, they located it...Memorial day came and went..THE HEADSTONE WAS STLIL NOT FIXED. Working in the repair industry i understand sometimes you need to assess the situation. Even though this is a dirt and shovel job...i understand and kept patient. Called them back again to see what the issue was. Received the run around about vacation and short staff....End of June I stopped into the office to speak with the receptionist which had so answers for me. Advised they were on vacation still but should get it fixed by or around independence day...here is is coming up on a year and the headstone has been above ground for 90% of the time since purchasing.Business response

THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED, WE WENT TO THE CEMTERY 4 DIFFERENT TIMES TO ADDRESS THE COMPLAINT, ONLY TO FIND OUT ON THE LAST ATTEPMT THAT SHE WAS EXPLAINING IT TO OUR OFFICE MANAGER AND THE VERBAGE DINT MATCH WHAT WE FOUND, SHE SAID IT WAS PRODRUDING UP OUT OF THE GROUND AND WAS SETTELING , SO WE WENT AND FOUND A VERY LEVEL MARKER AND NOTHING OUT OF THE WAY, IT WASNT UNTIL THE LAST TIME WE WENT, THAT I CALLED TO SEE IF SHE WANTED IT LIKE THE OTHER DAMRON MARKERS IN THE AREA AND SHE SAID YES, OK THEN THIS WANT EXPLAINED ORIGINALLY, THEY ACTUALLY WANTED THE MARKER IN THE GROUND LIKE THE OTHERS AND NOT ON THE CONCRETE MOLD WE INSTALL UNDER THEM. BUT IT HAS BEEN RESOLVED AND THE FAMILY WAS NOTIFIED. JUST VERBAGE CONFUSION AS TO HOW THEY WANTED IT ADDRESSED.
WE HOLD OUR STAFF TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD AS TO ADDRESSING ISSUES IN THE CEMETERY ADN THE MEMORIALS OF CUSTOMERS LOVED ONES. SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN THIS RESPONSE.

Details of the complaint against Buckeye Monument Company - June 16, 2023 - phone conversation. A contract paid in full is required to reset and reseal a monument for **** *** ***** ***** at the ******** Cemetery in ******* **. A deposit would not be sufficient. Buckeye monument would send pictures to verify the work once it is complete. - June 17, 2023 - Check #**** for $450 and the signed contract was mailed to Buckeye Monument. - July 3, 2023 - Check cleared. - November 3rd - phone conversation. The work is not complete. Assurance offered that the work would be completed by November 6, 2023 and pictures would follow. - November 3, 2023 - email. Follow up to confirm details of earlier phone conversation. - November 20, 2023 - email. Notice from Buckeye Monument that the work was complete, but did not send pictures. Buckeye Monument assured that the pictures would be sent. - December, 18, 2023 - Buckeye Monument has failed to send promised pictures.Customer response

To whom it may concernMy complaint with Buckeye Monument company has been resolved today. They sent the pictures of the completed work and the work appears satisfactory.Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
