On October 14th I gave Joshua $200, which was half of the job I hired Joshua for, putting a shed up. I wasn’t concerned about giving him half since he had done other jobs for me and always required half up front, and there was never an issue before. I always gave him cash, but there was a witness to giving him the cash. Also, it’s confirmed in text that he received the cash, but was not returning it or putting up the shed. He had said he would be here on Sunday, Oct. 30, which he was, said his helper was coming, I never saw another person so I don’t know if his helper showed up or not. He said he needed to leave, he forgot his drill and would be back in about 10 minutes. He never returned, so I was concerned and sent him a text what was going on, he text me back he stepped in dog poop and is not doing the job and not returning my cash. He had made 3 trips to complete this job, but there was not enough gravel, which he told me how much to order, so I ordered more 2x. The 3rd trip was Sunday, which he didn’t do any work, he left to “go get his drill.” All I’m asking for is the $200 I gave him, which he acknowledges in text,.
