I visited this Dairy Queen location from 5-530 PM on 01/02/2024. Upon entering the location, I noticed the specialty offers and deals advertised on POP merchandise. The special I was interested in was a 4-pc chicken strips basket with fries, toast, and drink. I approached the counter and began my order by telling the cashier I wanted the basket that was advertised for $6.99. She apparently had no idea of the special because she then asked me how many chicken strips I wanted. I told her four pieces and reminded her of the special that I saw on advertising in store. I ordered a small blizzard with the meal as an upcharge, which was not held upside to me when served and was only correct on the top 1/3 maybe of the cup, the bottom was ALL vanilla soft serve. She hands me the Blizzard and I take a seat, my box of food being brought out to me just a few minutes later. I opened the box and noticed only Three chicken strips and NO toast at all, so I took it to the counter to let the staff know it was incorrect. I was asked for my receipt which I got off the table and brought back to them. The employee looked at receipt and told me I ordered a three piece, which doesn't come with toast and costs $7.00. My receipt did reflect this being the order, but i was never even given a choice of three strips. She asked me how many upon order and I told herthe four pieces special. But it was rang out of register as three piece meal. Ends up essentially same price, but I got one less strip and no toast. When attempting to reftify the situation with the staff there, they were rather rude to me while trying to justify it being my mistake when clearly it was theirs. And absolutely refused to make it right with me then and there. I feel the staff should actually know what they are doing in there instead of passing blame around. A DQ gift card would be a nice gesture, but I will definitely be using it at a different location if that is the resolution. Please look into this, thank you.
