Was traveling on I 40 east bound on Thursday November 17th at around 615 AM behind an American Hydrovac truck. The truck launched a rock into my windshield and cracked it. I called to discuss with the manager and he hing up on me twice. They are liable for damages and refuse to repair the windshieldBusiness response

American Hydrovac was contacted by ****, who advised that he was following our truck and a rock came from the tire and damaged his windshield. It was explained to him that a rock coming from the roadway from a tire is a road hazard and that American Hydrovac and our driver, if we were actually involved, are not responsible for uncontrollable road hazards. It was also explained to him that all of our trucks are fitted with mud flaps across the entire rear end of the truck and that we are in compliance with ***** regulations. **** did not like our response and began to cuss on the phone call and the call was ended. **** called back and was advised that AH staff did not have to allow him to cuss at them and the call was ended again. ************** was advised that if he felt we were still responsible in his eyes, to file a report with law enforcement or his insurance company and we would follow up with them once we were notified. To this date we have only received a ****** Complaint on our listing and a BBB complaint, no official documentation has been received.
American Hydrovac does not transport rock or any other material that could be an unsecured load. American Hydrovac was also not provided with any documentation about the incident (ie. police report, insurance claim) or any other items to even show that the windshield was damaged while following or passing our trucks. As far as we know this could be a false report in an attempt to have a previously broken windshield replaced by ******************** ************** advised that he was an OKC firefighter in an a attempt to make his claim for believable.

I am rejecting this response because:He is lying the rock came from the vehicle not the road. He was rude and only called after I said would call back everyday. Very unethical business and ***** is evidently unethical as well.

At this time ************** is not receiving the response he wants and will continue this like he has many other businesses when he does not get his way. Please review is business reviews on ****** and you will see this.
************** was called when I was back in the office. I was not concerned with his threat to call every day, he was more than welcome to. I do not sit in my office and wait to respond to fraudulent claims. ************** told myself and our Office Manager that the rock came from the tire and struck his vehicle. A rock picked up from the roadway is again a road hazard and not an unsecured load. I recommend that ************** stop illegally following vehicles following vehicles and stop making false and fraudulent claims to attempt to extort a business for money for damage we are not responsible for or might not be involved with.
