I made reservations a month in advance for a double queen. I was charged, but given the card to a single king. The desk says I did not make a reservation. I showed them the email confirmation. They did not correct the issue. Other hotels are unavailable. Me and another party greatly affected. I would like to be compensated for the cost of another hotel at short notice.Customer response

Ashland Motel performed a bait and switch. I stayed. The room that could not accommodate my guest.Business response

Hello,
Guest have arrived for check-in on Oct 13th and we hand over the key to him changed the amount which our hotel system showed, after few mins later he came back to office saying he booked an 2 Queens Bed. So we have asked him for show us Confirmation he won't show it to us so then the teacher called the hotel saying what's happening, we then explain the teacher and we asked teacher for Confirmation of 2 Queen **** once we received the confirmation email it shows guest booked ************* and that's what we have given. Somehow our system charged the extra but we have fixed the issue by giving guest a refund on same day of check in. Guest have stayed 2 nights with us. We have provided an PDF of the Confirmation and payment. So not sure what's the issue having complaint.

Company is lying about me showing confirmation.
The confirmation was shown. The "teacher" can confirm the confirmation was shown.
The company admits they attempted to overcharge.
