We initiated a contract via NW Custom Structures under the ******************* division of their company to supply and install a metal building. They then contract with ******************** for materials and labor for supply/install. After the initial building was built we did an add to close in the end and add a roll up door. After we finally got details from the companies of what we would actually get from them we decided to not move forward with the door. Now after many emails back and forth asking for our refund , 9 months later they have decided to deliver the door we didnt order. All the information is in the attached email communication. We are looking for a full refund for the supply and install of the door.Initial Complaint

We had a two-bay metal building installed on our property in October 2019. Through the following months we noticed we had some water leakage in the corners of the building. Initially we thought the water was somehow sneaking in between the building and the concrete foundation. Eventually it was pointed out to us that the roof had been installed incorrectly. The roof panels should run vertically to allow rain to channel into the gutters and away from the building. Instead, the panels were installed horizontally, causing water to channel to the front and back seams of the roof and ultimately run down the inside corners of the building. When we brought this to NW Custom Structures attention, they refused to work with us and instead passed us off to ********************, who provided our steel building to NW Custom Structures for installation. After some back and forth with ******************** we were told that a) we waited too long to bring this to their attention, and b) because we had installed work benches, had electricity ran to the building, and had gutters installed as per our citys permit requirement, we had modified the building, therefore voiding our warranty. We would like to note that it wasnt immediately brought to neither NW Custom Structures nor ********** All-Steels attention because we had been unaware of the incorrect roof installation. We had depended on their expertise to provide us with a sound building. We are holding NW Custom Structures responsible for this because they are the ones we worked directly with when getting our metal building quoted and installed. They are also the ones who scheduled and hired the installers.
