On April 27th, I went in to Samaritan Urgent Care to get a full STD panel done because I had received notice that I was possibly exposed to an STD. I got a blood and swab test done and was told that I would get results back soon. On Friday April 28th, I received a call from the clinic that I was positive to syphilis. I was told I need to come in immediately to get a shot to receive treatment as soon as possible. I called out of my work meeting to go into the clinic to get my shot of penicillin in my ****. It was a very painful shot and an overall emotionally draining day. I made sure to to contact any of my sexual partners of my diagnosis so they too could get tested. On Saturday April 29th, I received another call from Samaritan Urgent Care telling me that I was tested negative for syphilis. I thought perhaps there was a misunderstanding because I had been told other wise and had gone in to get painful shots by the same Urgent Care the day before. Instead the employee told me that there are two tests needed to be done to confirm diagnosis of syphilis. I was never made aware that I needed that second test to be completed in order to know if I had syphilis or not and was never talked about this from anyone I saw or anyone over the phone. It was never included in after visit summaries as well. I was misdiagnosed before it had been confirmed that I was syphilis positive or not. I was never made aware they were sending my blood work out for another test to confirm this result. If I had known this, I would've never gotten treatment before an actual confirmed diagnosis. I want all medical costs to be covered by the clinic and there hope something like this does not happen to someone else in the future. I have made the clinic aware of this and am waiting to hear from them for further explanation on why this happened. There needs to be more care and time taken at this clinic to ensure they don't diagnosis pre confirmation and have more transparency with their patientsInitial Complaint

I went to Samaritan because I have a broken Clavicle and most likely shredded ligaments. I told them I had shoulder surgery when I was young and they did not even consider that but rather just saw that there was a broken bone and went with that being the problem. They sent me home with 3 days of pain medicine ( which is less than I normally receive for smaller injuries) I also believe I have tendon and ligament issues too which they did not consider during my visit even though I said it was an issue. I am in excruciating pain and they are telling me to come back into the emergency room. That will cost me twice as much money and I am not confident that they will find or help with the real issue.
