Months ago we ordered a lot of doors for a remodel we were doing. 6 weeks ago we went to install the doors. All were good except a large exterior double door. We had paid extra for the doors to be prehung. We were told that due to size and weight they be shipped in pieces but prehung at the factory. Upon install we discovered that the frame was 3/4 too tall. But we adjusted the framing to make it work. We also discovered the doors were too short by 3.5. The height discrepancy between the frame and the doors, along with the fact that the hinges appeared to never have been mounted lead us to believe the doors were never prehung. Jerrys was made aware of this. We repeatedly made contact for weeks eventually elevating the issue until finally they sent someone to take measurements to find a solution. That person was baffled by how many discrepancies there was with the doors. Were not 5 weeks since we notified Jerrys and theyve gone silent on us again. We have move in and furniture deliveries scheduled. Painting is currently happening. If we dont have a weatherproof space we wont be able to move in. If we cant move in by 4/1 well have incurred another $600+ dollars in expenses for storage. In addition Theres additional contractor fees for them having to deal with all this. Weve already exceeded the value of the doors in expenses. But most of all, we dont want to have or move-in delayed. Weve spent hours and hours trying to get Jerrys to just provide a solution. 5 weeks later and a delayed move in pending, Im not sure what else to do.Business response

I am writing in response to complaint ID ********. I very much appreciate your recognition that, There are two sides to every dispute. While our side *** differ from that of our customer, that appears to be a moot point here, because our understanding is this issue is very nearly resolved. I just spoke with a representative from the door manufacturer, and he informed me temporary slab doors were installed last Friday, 3/25/22, and the finished doors will be installed next Friday, 4/8/22. The temporary slabs installed last Friday provide our customer with a secure and weatherized solution pending installation of the finished doors next Friday. Our customer has not been asked to pay anything for the resolution of this issue. We are unaware of what more we could do. Please confirm receipt of this email and advise on what more is needed to resolve this complaint.
