Towed out of a completely empty lot in 9/6/24. Car was parked for 1.5hrs and not found in parked spot when I returned. Attempted to contact tow company at number listed immediately x 8 times with voicemail left. No answer and no response. Absolutely unacceptable to be unreachable after taking a persons car. There was no need to tow my vehicle and and then to be unreachable for me to get my car is not ok.Business response

The vehicle was towed from a lot that has many signs stating no unauthorized parking. I can not verify the number of calls that were made, we do use a dispatch service after hours that will prioritize emergency calls first. I do know the owner has the vehicle back.Initial Complaint

Guardian Towing towed a family car that my son had parked at the address below, and then charged $520 cash to give us back the car an hour later, all the while claiming that this was the rate set by Washington Country. From what I have gathered after having reached out to ********** County, this is not the case. It was an outrageous overcharge.Business response

I am sorry you feel that the charges were too high, but costs to run these types of tows are also very high, they are not like a regular breakdown tow along the freeway.
Vehicle was towed for No Permit for the parking area it was in.
Charges were $460, not $520.
These rates are very fair and reasonable for the type of tow and the work / reporting involved with these.

I am rejecting this response because:I paid $520. I have saved the text message from ************************* of Guardian Towing informing me to bring $520 in cash. Do you want to see that? So we paid $520. If it was supposed to be $460, then refund the difference. Perhaps the receipt was sloppily filled out on purpose. $520 is outrageous regardless. Your hook up fee is completely out of line with typical hook up fees. I have also filed a claim with the attorney general of ******, and will not cease to protest this until I get redress.
