***** from *** heating was called to come out on Nov 28, 2023, to come look at my furnace as it was not providing heat. He came and made some adjustments and rewired the electrical in the furnace and thermostat control. He said the relay that controls the Ac "also broke on him" so he disconnected the wires and promised to come back in Spring 2024 to reconnect everything at no charge as AC is not needed at that time since it was winter. He told me that the only amount I would be responsible for was the relay part. After the rewiring, he tried troubleshooting a few times with his meter reader to try and get the furnace to work. He said this was to ensure power was coming to the furnace to get it back working again. He charged me $348 for the first service and told me his work is a 30-day warranty. Dec 27th, my tenant called me that the furnace wasn't producing warm heat again. I contacted ***** to come check it out, and he agreed to since it was still within 30 days. He came on Jan 3, 2024, and told me I needed a new motor and a new capacitor. He shared that he would not charge me for the capacitor. ***** also recommended removing the air filters from the vent, which was removed the day the motor was replaced. The total fee was $400 for the 2nd service. My tenant shared with me that after the new motor was installed, a smell of electrical burning came from the vent and later went away. On Jan 16, 2024, my tenant called to report that the smell is happening again. I had reached out to ***** to see if he could come, and he responded that the earliest would be Thursday, Jan 18, but he never confirmed it with me. I went to check out the furnace, and the fan was running but had a rubber electrical smell. I let ***** know after my visit, and he said it could be a dust ball that hit an electrical element and those smells. The next morning, 3am, I received a text from my tenant that the heat was no longer working. There's air flowing but no heat. I texted ***** to see if he could come since it's only been 14 days since he connected the new motor. ***** had agreed and said he would come to check it out but won't know when as he's "going as fast as he could." At 716pm Jan 16, I received a text from ***** that he was finished with my machine as it seems the machine doesn't like him and he can't seem to get it running long before another issue arises. He said I want everything for free and that I should look for another person. ***** has texted me that all of his services are a 30-day warranty, and he verbally told me that all parts have a 90-day warranty. I've texted and called him, but he has yet to return my calls or text messages.Business response
