traded in a car at underriner **** for a new vehicle. Wanted to transfer my Smokey Bear plate to my new vehicle. Dealer handed me the plates and said I can put them on when I receive the registration and decal. They put a temp tag on. y back window. I made this transaction on 6 May 2024. The temp tag expires on 4 Aug 2024. Since it is a little over two weeks until the temp tag expires I conacted the *** and they told me using the new vehicle Vin that the vehicle does not exist and is not in their system and I need to go back to the dealer. I returned o the dealer and they printed out a permnent registration card in process paper which shows the request was only send in on 7/13/2024 over 2 months after I purchased the vehicle. I went back to the *** with the paper the dealer gave me and the *** told me it shows they just submitted it 7/13/2024 and it as not gotten into their system yet. They also told me there s not enough time for the registration to be processed before the temp tag expires on 4 Aug and I would have to pay $30 for a temp tag from the ***. I had already paid $30 to the dealer for this registration. This is now an inconvieniece to me, and I fear I might have to park a new vehicle before driving with expired tags until and/or if the permanent registration and decals ever come in.I have already spent 3 hours of my time, twice in the dealership and once waiting to see the clerk at the ***.This is unacceptable and has never happened before and I this is the 3rd vehicle I have purchaed from this dealer.The dealers explanation was they had personal problems.I want to warn anyone doing business with this dealer. My problem is not with the vehicle, we love he car, the salesman, he was great, or the finance person, but with whoever is behind the scenes processing registrations.Compensation for my time and trouble would be nice but I don't expect itInitial Complaint

I am financial power of attorney for my father, *************************. My father has "mild" dementia, is very hard of hearing, and decided he needed to trade his ****** Crosstrek in for a pickup truck. He went to Underriner Nissan at the end of March and was talked into a truck he didn't need. My father clearly has a memory and mental deficit but not to the degree that his provider will put him in a home. The finance manager, ***************************, took advantage of my father's condition. He asked my father about his income and my father lied about how much he brings in. They admittedly did not verify his income. (His payment is way more than he can afford. ******* also tacked on gap insurance and an extended warranty which made my dad's payment $200 more a month. Once my father finally admitted to what he had done, I called and spoke to *******. I explained my dad's health issues and how they took advantage of him. He said, "Your dad tells a good story." and, "If he is that bad, maybe he shouldn't be driving." I told him that my dad can't afford the truck and he did not seem to care. I had asked if there was any way we could bring the truck back and get my dad's car back and he said "No". I would like the car dealership to take the truck back and give my father a cheaper car, with a cheaper payment, that is comparable to the ****** he traded in.
