When settling my account for orthodontic procedures, I was assured by both the company and my dental insurance provider that any money I paid upfront that should have been covered by the insurance I would be reimbursed for. The claim number #********** ** was submitted on 12/29/22 and processed 1/20/23 by my insurance and is now considered closed. They have sent all payments to my dental office electronically and the payments have been received, as confirmed by my insurance several times. The dental office in question, Faces and Braces, refuses to issue my refund in the amount of $1,000 as indicated in my insurance claim. Despite speaking to both me and to my insurance rep while I was on the line, they insist that they either haven't received the payment or that they will need to "check back in with updates". I have heard this excuse for months. I have been calling and emailing regularly to no avail, and it is impossible to get anyone on the phone or to get any rep to call or email me back. I have called their accounting department and the local offices and there has been no assistance. My insurance has been in contact with them directly and they still insist they don't have a payment, despite my insurance providing confirmation that all amounts have been paid. This is in excess to what has been paid out of pocket by me - the entire cost of the orthodontic procedure.
