Put my car into their shop for regular inspection. Received a Toll violation from a state I never visited from their car rental. Have asked them since last year to resolve, it’s still going in circles. I’m receiving violation notices under my name. They appealed it but didn’t provide enough information. I live 45 minutes away from their office. I am tired of calling and emailing. I have dealt with two girls in their office- ******* and ******. ****** said the last toll violation attachment did not open yet I tried emailing her, then calling two days later and received no reply but I left a memo with the receptionist who said she’d call me back in 10 minutes (never did). I do not see an email back (7/19/23) stating she received my email attachment showing the violation. I had her email me to confirm her email was correct. I’m trying to get this resolved finally without filing it in small claims.Initial Complaint

On Jul 7, 2023. I purchased a 2009 ****** Avalon from the car dealer mentioned above. The salesman name is ***********************. His number is ***********. About 1 hour after I purchased the vehicle, it became disabled while driving from Pennsylvania to Maryland. The car started smoking and cut off about 2 miles before the Delaware toll collection. The car was towed to **** Towing, *********************************** New Castle De. *****. Phone number is ************. I contacted the dealer on 7-8-2023, and was told that they would pick up vehicle and remedy the situation. Now everything I call they rush me off the phone or don't answer. I purchased this vehicle, without a test drive because they were about to close and I trusted them. Now it's costing me money for **** rides and I have been placed on probation for being late. Can you please help me. Thanks.Initial Complaint

I bought a used 2018 **** ***** ******** November 2022. Within the first 2 weeks I noticed multiple problems with the car including radio bubbles, a service for electronic stability, and squeaking. I returned December 11th to have these parts replaced. Upon leaving, I still had a persistent squeaking and continued to go to them to investigate. When nothing was being done I contacted my salesman, and they then handed it off to the service manager ***. When telling them my problems, I stated that the service advisor I was working with was making inappropriate comments and remarks to me, while also forgetting to do things I asked him to do. *** refurbished and cleaned all rotors nonetheless and said he was sure the problem was solved. I had gone a total of 4 times for this issue, the last being January, 2023. When leaving, the squeaking persisted. The service advisor I was working with then showed up at my job on Saturday January 28th. He was looking for a charger, he went through the desk of his friend that worked there, and he asked me if I was still having problems with my car. He told me that my rotors needed to be cut and to call Monday, he would do me a favor. I called and never recieved a call back. April 19th, my car broke down with a check engine light and service electronic stability again. I brought it in the next day. When I brought it they were told to look at everything including suspension, brakes, and rotors. They kept it for 3 days and told me they found tools in the throttle. They were told to leave the tools in the car, did not. I was never told what was actually fixed and never given an invoice, I left a voicemail with the service manager for this. He did not call back. A week later, my car broke down again. This time on the highway endangering my life as the tire completely fell off of it. I have been going back and forth on why/how, but they do not take responsibility for poor workmanship. The invoice I finally recieved is forged, and improper.Initial Complaint

I own a ** ****** and it started having issues right after having breaks put on with pulsating when braking. I thought I found the right dealership/garage. After bringing it in several times and not getting results, I reached out to the Service Manager. He did not return my calls. I end up reaching out to the General Manager to get results. We agreed to give them the car while I was on vacation. They had the car for the week and called the day before our return. Said there was a nail in a side wall, and then up-selled on fluid changes. Needless to say we picked up the car, paid for a new tire and fluid changes. Two days later the tire light came back on. They forgot to the put the NEW tire that we paid for on. Infact, we do not believe they did anything but charged us. The GM and owner will not return our email and phone calls. I could have been injured driving on a bad tire. They had even said it was undriveable. NO return calls or emails speaks volumes about who you are dealing with. After 4 attempts to reach them, 2 emails, 2 phone calls they will not respond. They credited us for the tire but not the additional services that were not done. I took my car to another garage to verify this. We are asking for all of our money back (spent thousands with them), and for a mark to be against them and to be investigated. Lastly, they did not have a receipt for us when we picked up the car, only a work order. I had to push them to get a receipt which was posted dated. They offered us a refund of the tire, and played games giving it to us. We only got 1/2 of the money back.Initial Complaint

My car wouldn’t start so I had it towed to Jeff D’ambrosio in Downingtown. After 3 days, ******** called and told me I needed 2 batteries replaced in order to diagnose it. I consented to the costs and they called back and told me it was my starter. They told me it would be expensive and the costs would be $1300. I consented. The next day, I was told my car was running well and it was ready to be picked up. In total, I paid $1931. When I started the car, the service light was on and rode rough, as in shaking. I pulled into the service lane as instructed. They ran another test that said my car ‘misfired,’ and suggested I take a loaner car for the day so that they could evaluate the issue. The next morning, **** called and alerted me that ******** was no longer with the company and that he would now be my service advisor. He called later that day to inform me that my car had been thoroughly checked and it was ready to be picked up. I asked him if he drove it and he said the technician drove it and it was driving well. Wednesday evening I went to pick up the car, I asked **** again if he drove the car. They didn’t know where the car was on the lot so he offered to bring the car to the front. He didn’t return for over 20 minutes. He returned with his manager and they asked me more questions about my car. They asked me to keep the loaner for the night and insured me that they wanted to end the stigma that dealerships take advantage of consumers and overcharge them. Two days later, **** called and told me I needed a new engine, and that it would be $9300. I don’t understand how they didn’t know this before they charged me for the other services when I could easily tell that the car wasn’t drivable. I would’ve never consented to the other services had I known that I would still need an engine. I could’ve used that money to go towards a new car. At the very least, it would have been nice to offer me the option to trade it in or a refund, considering the series of events.Initial Complaint

I have purchased a new 2022 **** ******** from dealership the vechile has been in the dealers shop for 3 weeks without being fixed. The Sales Dept or Service Dept will not assist in telling me what the problem is with the vechile issues and why it won’t run. They gave me a loaner car to use which is a **** 2019 that is cigarette filled car. Scratches down the side with loud noises also. Service Dept does not keep me notified of why they still have my car just saying it’s unsafe to driver and NEVER no resolution, they promise to call me back without any call backs. I call them daily but now they won’t answer my calls at times. Owner Jeff D Ambrosio wont speak to me as the customer to buy back this vechile as I still am making payments on it without having my Jeep for 3 weeks now. I am not getting any help from anyone and this problem should not be happening with a brand new Jeep. I need help to resolve this Jeep and buy it back.Initial Complaint

Purchased Vehicle ( White) My Trade In ( Black) tried to contact them back yesterday evening like I mentioned to you after they had a series of offers about replacing the vehicle with another one but they never responded to me and just left my messages on open and no contact back. I am not sure if I should drive the vehicle there or not I was going to get your take from it all. All I want to do is unwind the contract for refund and get my vehicle trade in back and return the purchases vehicle. They had me there fro 3 PM until 9:30 PM on 6/8/22 (Wednesday) and had me sign a series of documents while they were rushing to get out to close not once mentioned they don’t have a cooling- off policy. They just shot me a rate last moment and my trade in was already moved to a different area at the 1221 Location. I do understand the laws and what has happened as well as far as sign offs but I do understand that the seller can come to an agreement to void the contract aswell which is Jason the GM at Jeff D Ambrosio ***** *****. This vehicle is not what I intended it to be mechanism wise and etc. I will forward you write up of the vehicle repair estimates and receipts in the meantime if you call possibly reach out to them at +1 (**** ******** (Walt)sales rep (Eddie) costumer service (Jason) GM to see if they can reason at all please I know it is not impossible to make this happen thanks again please give me a call at ************ for any regards or questions or emailInitial Complaint

On December 15, 2021 I purchased a 2016 ********* ****** with 113,001 miles with a selling price of $21,,420 from the Jeff D/Ambrosio Dodge dealership at **** *. ********* ******, Downiingtown, Pa. The payment was approximately $329 per month. I realized in March 2022 that this payment was too high for my budget and living expenses so I had the vehicle reposessed. I tried to take the vehicle back to the dealership but then they delivered it back to my residence. Then they sold me another vehicle a 2013 *** *** with 106,000 miles with a payment of $258 per month. I tried to tell the finance manager I didn't want the vehicle and then he said you have to buy the vehicle and build back your credit. As all this was going on the owner of the dealership, Jeff D'Ambrosio could do nothing but walk around the dealership and laugh at me. I want the ********* ****** which I voluntary gave up to be expunged from my credit record and I do not want to have to pay the deficiency amount after it is sold. This dealership deliberately sells vehicles with a lot of mileage and ups the price and ruins the credit of customers.
