I purchased an entire house full of furniture from this company. I was told that if I got the protection plan that after a certain period of time if I did not use the protection plan I would get the money back. Well today I called to find out why I haven't gotten my money back only to be told that's not how it works. You have to contact them within 6 months of the protection plan ending and you get store credit for that amount of money to buy more furniture which is the last thing that I need. I verified with my daughter who was with me when I purchased all the furniture that this was never what was told to us. I've been waiting for this money to pay some bills only to find out now I don't get anything. The furniture is not good quality and if I would have known I would have used the protection plan to have it either replaced or repaired all of it. My son's bed literally fell apart the wood just split, my coffee table fell apart, all the wood pieces have not lasted and look terrible and the couch that I purchased along with a recliner chair and that love seat have not held up at all and they're only 5 years old. Do not buy your furniture from this place because they will lie to you. And the furniture is not qualityEFO Furniture Outlet Response

EFO regrets that Ms W never took advantage of her extended warranty that she purchased. We appreciate her purchases in 2018 and 2019 where she added the warranty purchase to her invoices. This warranty is good for 5 years on numerous damages according to the contract but not wear and tear from use. Each time a delivery was made to her home, she would receive the extended warranty contract and the certificate explaining the terms to get reimbursed...if you never need to make a claim. In addition Ms W mentioned her son's bed. EFO did replace her son's bed rails when she said one split. This was covered by EFO and she did not need the warranty plan. EFO does take care of such issues under the manufacturer"s warantyThe certificate she is talking about explains specifically, in one short paragraph, how to receive your credit towards a new purchase. Our EFO stores or our Service department can offer assistance to anyone requesting help making a claim or explaining the credit offer on the extended warranty. We have assisted countless customers on these things when they ask us. Ms W's extended warranties have expired in 2023 and one just ended in March this year. But if she has a recent incident that occurred within the past 30 days, she may still (with our help) be able to make a claim and have the item examined and repaired or replaced at the company's discretion. But since it's expired, I cannot speak for certain on this. The purpose of buying this coverage is to keep your valued furniture in good condition, even when accidents happen. Many, many have bought it through the years and have been very satisfied. I am sorry you didn't try using it when things broke. EFO can't refund her purchases of her unused protection because she was given the full 5 years from the company. I apologize that you feel we lied. We Do offer the opportunity to be credited the protection money but getting furniture fixed or replaced compared to the fee of the protection would well worth the money!Review from Ann W

In August of 2021 my husband and I ordered a bedroom set with two nightstands from EFO. The floor model of the set we chose was damaged. James the salesman talked us into the white glove delivery when I pointed out the damage to the floor models. We received a call from James in March 2022 that a partial shipment was in the two dressers and mirror. The two nightstands would be in later. Delivery day arrives and the delivery men are unable to get the one dresser up our open staircase. They cause quite a bit of damage to the walls, celling and woodwork. The one delivery man takes pictures and assures me someone will be out to assess the damage. He asks me I want to keep the dresser and mirror that they were able to get upstairs. Upon inspection of the two pieces upstairs I noted the same damage as the display model. I had them take it all back. No one every called. My husband did call numerous times and was given the run around. Since I was the one home at the time of delivery and saw everything, I went to EFO to plead my case. I was treated horribly by the manager. I was told that EFO doesn’t employ the delivery staff I would have to take it up with their manger. I went to check to see if the display models were still in the showcase. They were not when I questioned this, I was told they took them out because they do not deal with that manufacturer anymore. I was told to read the contract that my husband had signed it was a legal binding contract and that the furniture had to be restocked and I would not be getting a refund. James our salesperson pulled me aside and said he would discuss the refund with a different manager. We finally did receive a refund minus the restocking fee and white glove delivery payment. I don’t remember the exact amount I believe it was over $ 400. So, in a nutshell they delivered the damaged display models, damaged my home and were charging me for all my troubles.Review from Ernie T

I ordered and paid for a bedroom set on 01/13/2022. The dresser, mirror, chest of drawers and nightstands were in stock. The headboard, footboard and panel rails were in stock but damaged. The salesman James told us 4to 6 weeks for the bed. I called numerous times about it and was told on 2 separate occasions that the headboard and footboard were in but the side rails were damaged. I call in may and told James if the bed wasn't in by June 1st I didn't want it. He assured me it would be because it was in Allentown Pennsylvania. My wife and I decided we didn't want the bed any longer because of the way the business just gives us the run around. They called at the end of June for a July 5th delivery..my wife told them we didn't want it. Now Joe the manager told my wife there would be a,30% restocking fee. And to top it off they will only give us a store credit. Who in their right mind would want a store credit from them? He refused to give us a refund stating that they didn't get paid for the furniture. But we've been paying on the stuff for 6 months.. I don't want a store credit. They were paid months ago. I will never buy anything from that place again. I know no one in my family will either.EFO Furniture Outlet Response

I am truly sorry for this long delay. I know you have half of your bedroom set received and have been waiting a long time for the king size bed. Many of our companies go "hot and cold" with inventory. It appears that they have some but sometimes we order it and it's gone! Waiting for another shipment sometimes take much longer than we expect. We can follow some companies online but when they don't have dates, it's left blank. Calling under these situations doesn't help either. Ships on the water have to wait their turn to drop off cargo and go through customs. Then trucked to the manufacturers. THEN to us. Please accept our apology! They do not deliver furniture as ordered. Sometimes takes months and many calls and they promise your delivery .. however they do not deliver orders. They keep your funds for orders hoping you forget or let go.. after 3 months you cannot dispute the charge. If anyone want to join a lawsuit there is one pending in Stroudsburg Court.
