I had them service my heater last fall and I now know they did not actually clean the vent pipe or heater. I had them return two more times, because of heavy oil smell and smoke coming from house vents. Techinican said his equipment wasn't working right but he was sure heating system was ok. I continued to get strong oil smell from vents and headaches. Call owner who was very rude and he yelled at me. Called a different HVAC company had emergency service call with them. They said my system had to be red tagged because of CO inside house heating ducts. Jeffs HVAC put my family at great risk.

      Tell us why here..

      2023 Feb

Found sooted up chimney. Customer started cleaning it.
Technician cleaned the heat exchanger out.
No smoke was coming out of registers when done.
Customer was advised that there was a venting problem.
He has a wood stove and furnace both vented through the same chimney
(This is not an accepted practice)
Technician told customer unit needed to be shut down, this is safety issue
         - Customer refused shut down said unit was working previously,
                wouldnt take recommendation.
System will never work properly the way that it is setup

Customer then proceeded to call our answering service and was vulgar and disrespectful.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Jeffs HVAC never said unit was unsafe, they said it was fine and ok to use. They did not recommend any follow up service or repairs. They lied in their response. How come they don't mention the high CO readings and their faulty equipment. They are untrustworthy,  and put my family at serious risk. I guess I am not surprised they lie about how bad their service was.

The homeowner was advised that they cannot share a common chimney flue with 2 fossil fuel burning units. (oil furnace and wood burning stove). This is according to the latest UCC code. I informed the homeowner that I will not tolerate vulgar language being used with an after hours operator. I always treat others with a civil tongue and expect the same in return. Regards, ***************************. owner Jeff's HVAC

In response to Jeff's HVAC remark that I have one chimney for two heating systems. This is an absolute lie. I have two independent chimneys that are totally separate from each other. I am amazed that his company serviced my furnace for over a year and Jeff has no idea what his employees were actually working on. This is just another false statement by Jeff in order to cover the incompetence of his company and his employees. They put my family's life in danger and only lied about the circumstances. I do not recommend anyone use Jeff's HVAC, they untrustworthy and incompetent.

      Thanks,
