We thought they did a decent job until PreDoc (the company that makes the septic drip systems) came out to do their walk through after the weather broke. We came to find that there were items not done correctly and items they completely neglected to correct that they were given a written notice by the PreDoc inspector of what must be completed before leaving our property. Because they backfilled with sand and neglected to install the French drain (that was require) by our tanks, our tanks are now exposed out of the ground due to rain. They were told they must back fill these two pipes that stick out of the ground by the drip field with gravel and inside the caps that go over the pipes, they didn’t. They destroyed our drainage ditch beside our driveway where the pipe runs but didn’t fix the drainage ditch and they changed the grade of the ground along the driveway causing water to run down our driveway now and destroy it. They did not run the wire in conduit from one tank to the other which is a significant distance and in rocky soil. They neglected to install a 6” riser on one of the tanks and just left the lid sitting there not screwed down because it physically can’t be screwed down without the riser. This is now causing the wire to rub on concrete lid which vibrates and PreDoc said will damage the wire over time. Ron was trying to charge us thousands to come do what he claims he didn’t know should be done, and I’ll reiterate again that he received it IN WRITING from PreDoc. He later agreed to come fix it, but now he is ignoring us and hasn’t came back to fix what was required of him. He received the designs and walked our property. He should have been fully aware of what was needed and appropriately bid and performed the work. I would NOT recommended unless you want your property not put back to how it was originally and want an expensive septic system that isn’t done correctly.

Hall Excavating in October of 2023, my husband and I can’t say enough in terms of the company’s attention to customer service from start to finish. From the initial estimate & project discussions through our excavation/repair & reclamation processes we couldn’t have asked for a better or more professional as well as more seamless contracting experience. We highly recommend Ron & J.R. Hall Excavating and will definitely keep their number close at hand for any of our excavation needs.
