Purchased a vehicle March 2022. Air condition stop working the next day. Brought it back over the course of several weeks for the air condition and thumping noise. They claimed it was serviced. They kept my car for several days and the next day it was the same. I spoke to the owner on the last occasion on my way back to the shop for another service. I told him I didn't think it was right to pay all this money for a car and have to repair it. I ask if I could return the car or a refund. He got so angry with me and hung -up the phone. Vehicle is a total loss without air condition with the heat at this point. He presented no copies of the service report. I don't feel safe driving the vehicle with thumping noise or some unknown noise. All repairs were not completed as they claim.

      Dear ******* *******:

This letter is in response to ****** and ******* ****'s complaint as referenced above regarding the 2011 ***** ***.  ****** and ******* did purchase a 2011 ***** *** from Discount Auto on March 22, 2022 as stated.  Soon after it was noted that the air conditioning was not working. We took the car to a shop and to have it repaired with a compressor and a condenser.  The ***s' complained about the wheels being shabby. We put new wheel covers on the vehicle but the ***s' did not like them. We took them off and painted the wheels for them instead.

Now, it is some 4 months later and they are having issues with their car that they purchased back in March.  Regular wear and tear maintenance is on them.  Not us nor any dealership when you purchase a new or used vehicle gives regular maintenace. They also have an extended warranty.  They should take their car to their mechanic to diagnose their issues and call the warranty company if applicable.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at ************.

      Sincerely,

      Vigo P****

       Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
In response to Discount Auto taking the car to be repaired, the next week I told them the AC was not working. Why can’t the same shop that repaired the AC finish the work. We were told to bring it back repeatedly; on one occasion the mechanic was not there and that was a wasted trip. Dallas took the car to a mechanic, and he stated we need a compressor. They all want over $150 service fee to tell me I need an compressor.

The complaint about the wheels, I was satisfied with painted wheels. The issue I told them was the car was making noise as if we were diving over the bumpy grids in the road to fall apart. This is an ongoing noise that was never serviced.

We travel 60 miles plus to hear they repaired everything and the same thing keep happening. This is unacceptable and we need our AC working and the noise repaired. My car is in the shop now to see if the warranty will cover this service.

      Regards,

      ****** & ***********************

Purchased a vehicle 30 days ago. Broke down before I made my first payment. Had the vehicle towed. Vehicle is a flooded vehicle. Was sold to me in this condition. Dealer ask me to say things to the bank to get approved should have seen these many things as a red flag. Will cost me more to get fixed than what we purchased for. Vehicle is a total loss at this point. Corrosion shows on many components. Taken advantage of. 20% interest with good credit. Was alone and in a situation where I was mislead and ripped off. Inspection would have shown this issues. Where are the copies of the inspection report? Would like to return the vehicle immediately.

I purchased a 2009 ***** ********* from this business at the end of May of 2021. When I purchased the vehicle some of the service lights where on for the traction control and stability control systems. The sales rep Bill  said that he would do some research and see how they could go about taking care of that. In hopes that they would follower through I went ahead and financed the vehicle. After multiple returns to the dealership they then told me that their mechanic is not legally able to work on cars and is not a certified mechanic and he did not have the capability to do the job. About 3 weeks ago the engine on the truck completely failed. I reached out to the dealership in hopes that they would follow through with what they had told me, which was if I had any major issues with the vehicle then they would not leave me without a car to drive. When I spoke with the Pat the owner he told me that he did not want to help me and that it was my problem now because I financed the vehicle. I let him how I felt about the situation and he told me he "didn't want to help me." I am now left with a large auto loan and a shotty warranty that will not cover the work that needs to be done on the vehicle in order to make it drivable. I have attached service records of some of the work we had to take care of through our private mechanic in order to get the truck on the road with fresh sensors, filters and a old change because they did not do any of that before we purchased the truck. I took it straight to my mechanic and he had to put it straight into the shop to change to oil and inspect the vehicle for other issues. I want to send the vehicle back to the dealership and I need for them to give me my down payment back and my trade back of $4,000 for my *** that I traded in and to have this loan removed from my credit. I have excellent credit and I can not afford for it to be ruined due to this large issue and their bad business.
