The business was to provide a horse camp during the 1st week of August 2022. We had to pay 1/2 upfront to hold our spot. The instructor canceled the camp for our week & we were told she would provide private lessons that week instead. The instructor canceled those private lessons and told us we would be refunded. It's been almost a month and we have not been refunded the upfront cost of $137.50 and they are not responding to inquiries. We would like our money refunded for services we paid for but did not receive.Business response

I am responding in regards to the above mentioned complaint. The complainant’s account is correct. Her daughter was signed up for horse camp August 2-6. The camp was cancelled due to lack of interest. So, I offered 3, lessons in exchange for the deposit she had sent and I received. We scheduled the first lesson, that I needed to cancel due to the fact my daughter fell and sprained her ankle. I had to take her to Med Express. We in turn scheduled another lesson and I had to cancel again, due to personal reasons. At that point, the complainant requested a refund. I did promise a refund and due to the fact I process my bills at the beginning of each month, her check was not scheduled to be sent until September 3. It has been sent in the amount of $137.50 to the address provided. I had always intended to provide the refund and find it very unfortunate that I wasn’t given ample time to make that happen.
It truly upsets me that the complainant thought nothing of tarnishing my business reputation for a minor misunderstanding.
