Our car was brought to this mechanic going on 3 months. He hasn't reached out to us to provide any updates and when we reach out to him the phone just rings. The mechanic was referred to by our dealership and he is very unprofessional and is very rude. Like was previously said he has the car going on 3 months and still no results.Business response

Unfortunately this customers car was brought to us with a blown Transfer case. We have spoken with them numerous times to let them know that their vehicle has two cases as options and the dealer will not inform of which one it is unless we buy the items. The customer does not want to pay the price for the new transfer case therefore we are stuck and unable to order the used one until we find out Which case to order. As I stated we have spoken with the wife regarding this a few times. We can not just pull the car in and tear it down to figure it out because we don’t know how long it will take to get the part or if it is even available. Unfortunately Covid has put a major strain on the car repair industry all around.
if the customer would like to pay the cost for a new part we would have already had the car done and returned to them. There is only so many times we can answer the phone and give the same information. We are working and our phones are constantly ringing. Many go to voicemail but I will say I have not received any voicemails from this customer asking for an update. I understand having a car down is frustrating but we do not manufacture the parts nor the cars we can only repair what we can with what we are given and unfortunately we are not being given the information we need to make the repair nor the ok to move forward with the repair with the parts we know will be correct. If the customer would like to take their vehicle to elsewhere they are obviously able to do so one the settle their bill for the axle that was installed that still has a balance remaining on it.Customer response
