While paving our road, E. Squires Paving dumped multiple piles of soil, rock and pavement debris in our side hedgerow, damaging our property. After contacting Squires, the owner said they would pick up the debris. They arrived very early in the morning before the scheduled time, even before their foreman, pushed the debris farther into the hedgerow crushing our bushes, and left. None of the debris was removed. Since then the business owner has refused to make things right and remove the debris. We will never again do business with E. Squires paving.

We received a phone call may 19th from the homeowner who made the complaint in regards to some alleged debris that was in the woods. We willingly agreed to go up May 20 the following day with a crew, a skid steer, and a truck to resolve the problem. Upon arrival the homeowners did not meet anyone there, but we did remove a small amount of dirt and weeds from the woods that we thought could have been the issue. That was all that we saw that seemed to be an issue. We got another call the following day from the same homeowner with the same complaint. We sent up yet another employee with a truck and tools to try to resolve the issue but did not see any issues at all, and again the homeowner did not meet anyone there. They complained about asphalt debris in the woods but we could not find any asphalt debris in the woods. We willingly spoke to them several times to try to resolve an issue. They called the police and we willingly spoke with the police and the police did not seem that there was an issue either.

We will take this opportunity to correct the numerous inaccuracies in E Squires Paving statement.  They were to arrive around 7:15 a.m.  At 6:45 we heard a truck, proceeded to the dumping area and they were gone.  We do not know if they removed any debris as now the material was pushed further into our hedgerow, causing more damage. At 7:15 a.m. we saw a truck from E Squires Paving driving down our road.  We met the truck and Harlan (foreman ?) said "I was supposed to meet my guys here at 7:15, I wonder where they are ?" So to be correct we did meet them at the specified time only they showed up early and without supervision caused additional problems.  We did call back and left a message.  We did not receive a return call, we did not see another employee the next day, no one knocked on our door or in any way tried to reach us.  The debris piles were clearly marked by us using the white stakes as shown in the pictures. So we do not believe this second employee visit to be at all true.  After we left numerous phone messages over a couple days, Ed Squires called us, denied ever dumping anything and ended the phone conversation with "If it's that important to you, grab a wheel barrow and shovel and go take care of it yourself", and then he hung up the phone.  It is therefore not correct that he willingly spoke to us several times.  We did contact ***** and reported this illegal dumping.  ***** in turn contacted E Squires Paving - who may have willingly talked to the police  but denied the dumping.  The ***** officer reported their denial to me and never said the dumping was not an issue.  Because E Squires Paving is in PA and we are in DE, an arrest warrant will have to be issued for ***** to proceed.
