Hate to say it but the five below in lacrosse wi is horrible. Messy all the time. Product is cluttering up the aisles and falling off the shelves. Product on the floors and not in their right place on the shelves. The employees yell across the room at each other while being in front of customers and give **** looks to their customers. Not to mention they hire people who hurt kids as managers. Thats real bad for business when ur trying to attract teens and kids to your store. I hope they change soon hate to see the store shut down because of bad business.Review from Pedro O

Visit the store at **************************************. Since I entered the store, one of the employees said in Spanish that he was going to check my bag because I was going to steal. I didn't want to get upset and kept trying to buy things and the employee began to follow me all over the store to every place that I was making comments in Spanish to another colleague about me stealing things. At the time of payment I asked the cashier if she wanted to check my bag because of the comments that the other employee was making. Discriminating against customers because of their skin color, their race, their language or their country of origin is very offensive and cruel, much more so when they judge you from the moment you enter the store. The experience was so unpleasant that I never wanted to enter a Five Below store again.Five Below Response

I really enjoy shopping at Five Below but I may not be going there anymore due to their liability insurance company horrible customer service. I got hurt at a local ******************** and has medical bills and loss wages. I have been trying for weeks to speak to my adjuster but I have not received a response to any of my calls, emails, and faxes. I have sent my medical bills and proof of wages. I just want to claim closed. I do not know want to get legal or media involved. Five Below keeps telling me to talk to adjuster but adjuster is unresponsive. Every time I call ********* ******* the representative say they do not know anything - that all my information has to come from the adjuster. However, my adjuster is no where to be found. Five Below is a great store but they need to get a new liability insurance company.Review from Mariah d

Unbelievable that this store is called FIVE BELOW when nothing is below five there, it should be called FIVE and above. When i go in everything is 55.5, ***** or the highest 25dollars This! is false advertisement Don"t get me wrong i love FIVE BELOW but as a costumer I except it to be five and below especially when I am shopping with a budget. This should be review. unfortunately you will lose costumers and have bad reviews, huge disappointment.Five Below Response

The Store manager took it upon her self to make a company decision based on personal feelings/ reason. This specific location is rascist. She did not want to do a return. And when I escalated to the customer service/ complaint she wasnt cooperative with them and even hung up on their face. The young lady did not want to give her name up because she knew she was wrong. Dont shop at this location. I have audio proof of this Store Manger Talking badly and nasty about the situation and myself(customer) to another employee. This behavior is unacceptable.Five Below Response

I ordered many times everthing was fine then they took my order as aways charged for delivery and informed me I could pick up my order in ********* when I told them I live in az and they charged for delivery where it had been delivered they said you have 3 days to travel out of state then we are canceling the order and expect a refund in 1 to 2 months it's been a month and nothing and they refuse to just send my orderReview from Jay M

Five and below ***** w surprise ******* **************************************************************** is the most racism five and below ever. This was my 5th encounter with the store. I made $20-$100 in purchases each visit. Each time there were lines customers behind and in front of me for some odd reason I am always singled out for the associates to ring up all of my items for me as if they are told to ring up all African American items. This time not only was I singled out again i was told i had to pay for plastic bags which wasnt a issue until I realized she only told me to pay for them and the other shoppers which was white (single ************** nothing was said to them but let me know if you need something. One had 1 item and the couple had a cart. I noticed she never told them but told me I would have to walk out with my items in hand after she finished ringing me up. Once I made it outside the white female stated she didnt make me pay for my bag not sure why she did that to you. I then called back into the store to speak with the manager I was directed to **** manager on duty. I let **** know that things are not consistent and i am tired of being discriminated against during every visit. I then ask for her manager name she asked why do you need her name I went silent she then said ******* ******** as if she had to think about it. I then told her I will call her because **** didnt care at all. This location needs to train their employees about equal rights and discrimination. I feel so unappreciated everytime I spend my money here. I work for the government and this type of employee behavior is unacceptable. All rules and procedures should apply to all or none at all. Its also bad business for another customer to notice the behavior of your hand picked employees. I am very disgusted on how I am continually treated. Zero stars poor customer service employees violating the discrimination law.Five Below Response

This complaint is in regards to Associate: ****** at the ************** location in ******** VA whom is an absolute liability to the Five Below brand. He initially assisted me on 5/17/2024 when I took my niece in to get a couple items. One of those items was a bag of candy however, I did not allow her to consume the candy because I noticed the bag was slightly opened. This is a health hazard so I decided to stop by today to return this. Before I could even speak, the same associate listed on my receipt transaction #****** said NO RETURNS not even knowing why I was approaching him with the item and receipt in had. He continued to raise his voice at me as I tried to explain that he is the one who rang this item up and also didnt notice the defect. He again said no, no, no returning I told him this violates store policy and written policy on my receipt so I expect to at least get an exchange which would still be invalid to satisfy this matter because Im just like every customer who deserves a refund for an item such as the one in the condition I purchased it. He grabs the candy, hands it to me and continues to speak but in his language - not English. As I am walking away he says GIVE ME YOUR RECEIPT I handed it to him and kindly requested that I get it back. He then writes on my receipt and tells me NO MORE RETURNS DONT TRY TO RETURN IT AGAIN. He was incredibly hostile from the second I walked into the store and Ive also seen him interact with customers on occasional shopping trips only to be met with the utmost disrespect. I shouldnt leave Five Below feeling as if I need to contact my attorney because your representative denies me of a refund I am entitled to, as any other customer would be. Needless to say, I arrive home only to notice that this bag is also opened at the bottom which is causing contents to leak. Clearly a manufacturer error that Five Below still chooses to place on their shelves.Review from Linda H

Today I visited the store in ******** Az 91St and Northern. I went in with my family to purchase my graduate a gift. Everything was fine up until check out. At check out ******** "cashier" just starts scanning items in my hands and family's hand mind you there was another lady checking herself out with no one scanning her items at that point I asked why she did that to our items she said it's policy and she does it for everyone yet she didn't do it for anyone else I asked for her manager she refused until I insisted then **** comes and tells me it's policy so I asked to see there policy and ask for him to check out the next guess but they refused so clearly it was discrimination. I asked for there corporate number yet didn't provide me it. ******** was talking over **** and he's supposedly the manager he can't control his worker and ******** clearly can't hold her compose she still said your getting on my nerves when I'm a paying customer don't come here if you want a normal shopping experience.I called there complaint line which is a 3rd party. In a post covid world there should be no policy where a perfect stranger touches you or your items. Get rid of self check out and hire a real cashier. This is discrimination.Five Below Response
