Absolute slumlord. Do not rent an apartment from them. They will squeeze every ***** out of you. They have predatory terms in the lease to enter any apartment units without notice of the tenant. It is unbelievable how they are still in business. The management is very rude and dishonest. It's a warning to everyone in **********. DO NOT RENT THEIR APARTMENT!Review from Mark C

They falsely advertised on Zillow and other websites that they allow pets at their locations, but wait to tell you that certain units (conveniently the ones you looked at) didnt until youve paid the deposit.Lobos Management Company Response

I don't recommend renting from Lobos Management. They have no idea how to treat their tenants. I was told they wouldn't be renewing my lease because my grandson had a puppy on their premises last July, keep in mind I was giving a warning and the puppy never returned but I still had to go. Oh in case you're interested you must pay for anything that needs replaced in their place, ie: kitchen light bulbs.Lobos Management Company Response

Dear BBB, Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to this complaint. While we cannot comment on the individual issues with this resident, we do our best to ensure that all of our tenants live in a environment free of disturbances. Yes, we do expect our residents to change light bulbs, unless a reasonable accommodation or assistance is requested. Thank you again.Review from Beth M

I have been a tenant at the Pine View apartment's for almost 7 years. Upon moving into my 2-bedroom apartment, it was obvious that the carpet, cabinets, countertops, closet doors, as well as the entire bathroom was extremely dated. I was able to see past these issues because I was eager to move, had an animal (cat), and the price seemed fair. ($781 per month, ******* pickup included)The property manager at the time possessed intellect, kindness, and was highly professional. The apartment and management at the time checked most of my boxes. After living at Pine View for approximately 4 years, natural wear and tear began to occur within my unit. Many things also began to break. The tub/shower began to spew water and would not turn off. Maintenance came that day but unfortunately the worker spoke very little English. Therefore, I was not explained the problem or solution. The shower/tub broke approximately 6 more times. A new maintenance man arrived almost every time and blamed the prior worker for not completing the job correctly. This same issue occurred with my toilet. But this time the complex was under new management. Any call that was answered by this individual was met with ignorance (the unintelligent type) and excuses. The toilet overflowed for the eighth time within a 2-month period, and the "Building manager" refused to send someone to repair the clog. My 14-year-old son and myself did not have a working toilet until the following afternoon. I called Lobos to express my displeasure with the situation, and BM rudely raised her voice and hung up the phone. Highly unprofessional. Other issues include a broken window, drawers falling out, broken cabinets, rats in the walls, and the list goes on and on. This place is disguising and uninhabitable. I am a college graduate and a professional. Never once have I been late on rent. I am now looking for a new place to live. They are losing an excellent tenant. 8 tenants have left in the past 3 months. A shame.Lobos Management Company Response

Dear BBB, Thank you for alerting to me to this situation. Though I do not know ****, I agree that she must be an excellent tenant (I know she won a Halloween decorating contest) and I do not want to lose her. I apologize for any misunderstood interaction with the staff, and will have a new manager reach out to her to take care of any of her issues. Thank you again, ***Review from Mary D

I have been a tenant of Lobos Management Company in Pittsburgh, PA 15213 for years now; my Lobos apartment in Oakland, conveniently near the universities, is quite literally the best, most affordable apartment I have ever had! Lobos Staff--Office, Maintenance, and Housekeeping Staff--are constantly working so hard not only to maintain the properties and apt units but also to improve upon them. I have never had any problem or issue with my apartment that has not been solved by Lobos--and not only solved, but done so in a very timely and highly efficient way! Lobos Staff are always very courteous and respectful toward all the tenants; I have never once seen any rudeness or curtness from anyone employed by Lobos Management. Everyone has always been kind to me, and I can always trust that apartment issues, should they arise in the future, will be solved in a pleasant and timely fashion. I would recommend Lobos Management to anyone looking for a genuinely affordable apartment near the universities and close to bus routes going to downtown Pittsburgh. Lobos Management has my highest possible recommendation!Review from Lynn Z

I have been a tenant of Lobos Management for years now since I moved to Pittsburgh. It is definitely the best and most affordable apartment I have ever had. Everyone at Lobos--Office Staff, Maintenance, and Housekeeping Staff--is courteous, respectful, and helpful at all times with all of the tenants. Lobos people work so hard to keep the apartment units, the buildings, and the shrubbery and lawns outside the buildings up to the highest standards. In addition to working hard for their tenants, Lobos has been and continues to be involved with projects that benefit the Pittsburgh area as a whole. It is amazing to me how much Lobos does to be helpful and of genuine service to people! Thanks to everyone at Lobos Management; you are appreciated!Review from Shea S

VERY MISLEADING & Money Hungry!! If you decide to rent from them - try to ask for your lease BEFORE you sign the "application fee" and pay money. If the don't let you, that alone should be a red flag for you.. I paid over $500 to hold my potential apartment..after , I received all of the lease agreements and I did not agree with how they listed the charges for bills.. I asked for a refund and they told me that it was all non refundable. Even if , like me, decided you no longer wanted the place. Lesson learned. Also in the lease, they aren't responsible for ANYTHING in the apartment if something happens that is out of your control. In addition, any temporary improvements you make to the place, it's now THEIR property. You are not allowed to do any maintenance on your own vehicle while parked there. There are simple things you aren't allowed to do without written consent from the landlord. The lease also stated that you do your own repairs and they can determine what a small repair is and isn't( they charge you if they don't deem it a small repair) This company is very money hungry. The photos also did not match the apartment I seen ( it was a very dated place) Find somewhere else to live.Lobos Management Company Response
