This company is misleading in its representation of data on public schools K-!2th. They state that they use the most recent data released from the US Department of Education on test scores for public schools K-12th. What they DO NOT Say is that this data is behind by one year. The current year released by the US Department of Education is 2021/2022. So you are seeing scores from those years NOT 2022/2023. Scores can change. These changes would not be represented for the current year viewing. When I reached out to the company they said they do this because not all schools release these scores. This is not true. All public schools must release scores to follow the laws. In addition, they said they would forward my point about misleading the public about schools with their data that is a year behind. Please be wary of what you are looking at. Best to go to the Department of Education of your state to find the most recent testing scores for the year. This company does factor in many other variables in their school ratings, however correct and up-to-date testing scores is a vital factor in consideration of a school that you might want yur student to attend.

Before deciding to partner with Niche****, I urge my fellow education colleagues to carefully consider the following aspects based on my recent experience. Overpromising and Underdelivering: One of the primary concerns we had with Niche**** Marketing & Enrollment Marketing services was the significant difference between what was promised and what was actually delivered. The campaign assured the delivery of qualified leads. However, the actual leads received were people who were far from being interested in pursuing higher education. Lead Quality: The quality of leads was extremely disappointing. The students we were connected with through the campaign were on the Niche platform for different reasons, often unrelated to searching for universities or programs like ours. This "lead dump" phenomenon is misleading and unhelpful. Lack of Accountability: Despite acknowledging the failure of the campaign and the misalignment of leads, Niche did not take accountability for the situation. There was no offer to adjust the charges or to provide any form of compensation for the lost time and resources.Review from Jessica H

Niche.com does not always provide an entirely accurate portrayal of schools. I would advise parents to exercise caution when relying solely on this website for school evaluations. It seems that the schools ranked the highest may be those that allocate significant resources to advertising efforts. To make informed decisions, parents should conduct thorough research and consider placing their trust in more established and reputable educational evaluation platforms.Furthermore, for those contemplating advertising with Niche, it may not yield the expected results. Our experience involved an investment of over $10,000 with them over several months, during which we requested concrete evidence of improved analytics. Regrettably, ***** was unable to furnish us with the data we sought.Review from Brooke C

Claims to award college funds but mines your data for scams, sweepstakes schemes. Especoally gross for targeting broke 17 year olds.Review from Lydia B

NICHE! Why are you deleting comments? If the point of reviews is to give an accurate description and youre deleting them or allowing the institution delete youre doing the public a HUGE disservice. You should get a F grade from BBB!!!!Review from Shaèron P

Not only are the reviews OFF about several High Schools and Colleges I have researched (Niche allows a ranking of 3.7 while other reputable sites say the school is a 1.5- makes no sense!), but I found that the reviews are thoroughly high-jacked by the staff and denied based on certain information a parent or student wishes to give! Nice, so the truth has to be given lightly... which misleads and truly does not inform the audience!I mentioned specific incidents while reviewing my son's current school and my review was denied without notice. I contacted them after realizing my review never posted and all to be told 3 days later that I basically said too much! Notifying me would have been professional, ethical, and proper, for a site such as yours. Then again.I think parents and potential students need to know if the Admin team are liars and does not care for the kids. If violent fights, *** happenings, and vaping in bathrooms, were an issue. Yet this school is ranked 3.7!! Ah, because the truth must be tailored for Niche. It's ok to say the school is "poor" and "terrible" but dare we warn others as to why? How exactly is *****'s reviews serving the public when the truth is being omitted? That's a bit perplexing, but they are NOT out to keep our children and teens safe, or to inform precisely, just out to watch their own tails allowing reviews that share the bare minimum. ***** offered to erase my account so I can open a new one and post a new review... Lol, No need for me to post a watered-down review to appease Niche. The truth cannot be thinned out. Thank you, ******, but NO THANKS!Review from Bennett G

Super inaccurate school rankings based on emotional user reviews and not actual facts or data (top private schools won’t provide any data to them because they are a joke!). They should be disciplined for misguiding parents and students who may not be familiar with a particular area. For example, take a look at their recent 2023 rankings listed for two huge metropolitan areas- NYC (where they list Convent of Sacred Heart and Nightingale Bamford above Dalton and Chapin - two of the most prestigious NYC privates based on 2022 college matriculation data alone. In Los Angeles, Brentwood and Marymount are ranked below some of the most random schools. If you are investing your hard earned money to ensure your child gets into one of the Ivies, I suggest you do your own research and comb through the school’s matriculation data or use ******************** instead of relying on Niche.com. They are clearly getting some kind of a kick back from the lesser known schools to be ranking them the way they are. What a scam!Review from Margaret H

Their ratings and descriptions are fiction. "Madisonville is in Hamilton County and is one of the best places to live in Ohio" I just purchased a home in Madisonville, and although I'm happy with my choice, it is hardly "one of the best places to live in Ohio"!!!! It is not even one of the "best places to live" in Cincinnati. It is nice enough, but I would their description and rating is put fiction Ditto their list of top places to buy a home in Cincinnati is equally randomly assigned. Very misleading website.

Every single review I have written using multiple different email accounts, different computers and devices, different areas, different ratings have all been deleted. This is simply a website that local government and school officials can bribe to increase their public image regardless of how corrupt those areas are. It is not a fair or trustworthy review and rating website. It is "pay to play" meaning that local tax dollars are used to increase a local area rating. Simple and regular citizens are ignored and deleted. The narrative depicted on this website for many areas is simply a bribe given to niche.com by government officials using your tax dollars.Review from Sam M
