Rented a tuxedo for a wedding I was standing up in on 7/1/22. I asked the worker repeatedly about my shoes being an 11W. He said they had them and assured me even if they didn't they normally go up half a size and everything is good.When I tried the shoes on for the fitting the worker asked how they felt and I said not great, a little tight. The worker said since I wasn't wearing a dress sock and that they were not broken in they would feel like this. I said ok as long as it's a wide, I should be ok.Fast forward to the reception and I can barely walk. After dinner, before dancing, I take off my shoe because my one foot is screaming. I just happen to flip the shoe over and notice they gave me a medium width and not a wide. At this point I was livid. I had to continue on as best as I could, but when I got home and took off my sock my toes were black and blue. It has now been a week and it is still looking bad.I never thought I'd pay $224 for a rental for a night to have it ruined by incompetent employees. The store promised to do something for me, but all they did was give me $20. That's like a slap in the face. I probably would've had rather they gave me nothing back than less than 10%. I am seriously considering making an appointment with a podiatrist because of the pain I'm still in and the fact that my toes are still black and blue looking.
