I am writing to appeal two charges related to Mammogram digital diagnostic occurred on December 17, 2021 from Grand View Health ($204.87) and Grandview Radiology ($41.42). Business Names and addresses please see 2 bills attached with the complaints I had annual 3D mammogram done per prescription on Nov 17, 2021 at Grandview Radiology. I received a phone call in late Nov 2021 asking to come back for 1 more mammogram image. My understanding was one of four images was not clear, doctor would like to have 1 retaken. I returned to Grandview Radiology on Dec 17 to take one mammogram image. After the image was taken, I was informed onsite that I was all fine and good to go.The 2 service charges were called diagnostic mammography. However, the fact is that I was all normal and have no abnormality to diagnose. Any nodule or malformation wouldnt go away in a month. Cost wise, my annual mammogram on 11/17/2021, 4 images were taken, the insurance plan paid Grandview Radiology $70.49. For my 1 image retaken on 12/17/2021, Grand View Health charged $204.87, and Grandview Radiology charged $41.42. I had nothing done at Grand View Hospital-ONLY waited there on 12/17, and was informed to go to Grandview Radiology at an Out of Patient center for retaking 1 image. The $204.87 charge from Grandview Hospital is completely unfounded. Even the $41.42 bill from Grandview Radiology should be waved, as that was retaken of 1 image after annual mammogram. The reality was that I have no abnormality to diagnose. I ask to removal the unfair and faulty charges. I am willing to pay for any needed diagnosis, however I reject to pay approximately $250 for redo one image. I had to put extra time & effort to get it redone, and to receive “all condition was fine” conclusion. Two diagnosis charges were for NOTHING TO DIAGNOSE. I have contacted Grandview Billing Department and the issue hasn’t been resolved. I received bills issued in March 2022. I appreciate you for reviewing this matter.
